Like it or hate it? I’m headed to everybody’s favorite North La WMA this weekend and will make it a hunting/scouting trip for second split. Flying solo

My favorite hunts sometimes are just me and the dog.

Due to an odd work schedule, every duck hunt I've made this year has been solo. I'm really not a huge fan. I'll do it because I love duck hunting, but I prefer to have one other person with me. It helps because you don't miss Birds coming in as much, and the conversation and companionship means that I'm more likely to stay out there longer.

Sometimes I love it, sometimes it's a pain. I do find myself when solo, trying new spots and different approaches. Have had phenomenal solo hunts though... I highly reccomend it, but wear a life jacket and use caution if your hunt involves a boat.

I make a couple solo hunts a season and enjoy it. I love hunting with my buddies, but sometimes getting out there alone is nice. Really relaxing. That said, I wouldn't want every hunt to be solo. Nothing better than getting out there and shooting the shite with the boys.

I enjoy it. Easier to hide one person vs. 2 or more.

Love it provided its not Venice. I don't like to do Miss river solo.

I love it. I shot my first banded speck this year on a solo hunt and it was a bit weird me celebrating by myself .

The only thing I like better than solo hunts are taking my buddies or family members who rarely get to hunt. Its about as close to being a hunting guide as I will ever get.

I've hunted alone a couple times by myself, but I prefer to be with buddies. The conversation and stories about the "old days" are what make the hunts for me.

Make sure to bring extra lotion when you hunt solo

I'm hunt alone pretty much all the time. Not because I prefer it but cause I don't have any friends.

I’ve been solo 4 or 5 times in the last year. It’s awesome especially if you have a dog. Relax with the peace and quiet, pick your own shots, take your time. My lease is also a 15 minute boat ride from my camp so it’s really easy to just get up and go.

Do it all the time. Need to find somewhere else to hunt though. Where I’m at has be on the decline for awhile now.
