I'll be coming from SWLA, the Lake Charles area.
I got pulled for #1, but that's next month, I'll be going next weekend with a buddy that got pulled for a different blind.
The first time I went, it was a pit blind, I think #8 and the second was platform, I think #7.
Are they all random pits and platforms or have they all been made into one or the other?

Grand cote lottery hunt

I've been twice, but both hunts have been off of the main parking area.
I got drawn for a blind that's at a smaller parking area. Is it difficult to find? I'm not from the area, and I've had difficulty even finding which road to turn down when hunting there in the past.
Any help with directions or landmarks to look for when needing to make turns is appreciated.
Has anyone heard about possible openers?
Did Danielle say LSU or tree same as Kwon?

What did Kwon Alexander just say?

Where at in SWLA?

I was fortunate enough to hunt grand cote today and we left with a 3 man limit. Saw literally thousands of ducks.
That's insane.
This morning was incredible for us, but we were near Alec

Is it illegal to get in the timber to shoot them? Is it flooded timber?

I went last year, but I was a guest. We're not in the same blind on this draw. I believe I'm in blind #2. Any advise or suggestions are appreciated.
Kinda.

BCSF with friends this weekend.

we normally hunt lacassine bayou as well, and it's been very slow there as well.

My buddies had a miserable hunt this morning in Sabine NWR, and that's pretty rare.
Not the hardcore drugs, but I'd be marking items off my bucket list like a mofo!

It hasn't been very good here (southwest louisiana, more specifically Cameron Parish) lately in the second split like it normally is. What gives? The weather has been prime for waterfowl. Hopefully this arctic front will push em all down to us. How is y'all seasons going?

I've always just used the trickle method. Works just fine.
Semi auto pistols fire quicker than a bolt action rifle if charged by hogs. That's my reason.
I carry my Glock 40 with me, but I recently got a 9mm, so I may start carrying that instead.

Sorry to hear about the miscarriage. We also had one with our first pregnancy. It's not easy, but you'll move forward together.
