This is how I imagine Mike Edmundson's lawyer right about now.

His lawyer? I'm not sure you understand how this works.

Oh, I agree with you. I just hate it because it is literally setting Louisiana further and further behind her peers.

What a fricking turd! And this selfish DGAF scenario is being played 1000s of times in municipalities large and small.

I understand. It still doesn't make any sense in that regard. His "lawyers" don't really give a shite. I promise.

Yeah, Edmonson may be a gigantic sleazeball, but the article is so over the top hyperbole, it's laughable.

Dude, he used his own troopers as his wife's personal cab service while YOU, the taxpayer, were paying them.

AND he was being housed on the taxpayers dime.

How much more money would you have if you didn't have to pay a mortgage and utility bill every month?

WOW!!!! They need to lock him up and throw away the keys for that one! This bullshite smells like a witch-hunt. Who gives a frick??? This man did a hell of a lot of good things above and beyond the call of duty. Take the witch hunt and stick it up their asses.

And the only reason we know about this is the Vegas trip...just think about how rampant this is in all tiers of public service. State workers know about it, they see it every day from all of their bosses...but the system is set up in such a way that if they dare say anything they will be ruined forever.

This was pretty known within the agency.

I mean, the guy has a nice house in Baton Rouge and moved his family into a home on the compound that was commonly used for guests and troopers coming in from other parts of the state to stay during meetings. He even had them put a pool in there.

Every facet of state government needs a freaking enema.

Good thing we got the governor now to take care of it.
