Moisture feed is strongly in place out of the SW. Probably not as heavy as 730 this morning but I'm with you, probably going to have some steady snowfall here through early afternoon.
What are your expectations for the Northshore for the next few hours? Things have steadily picked up over the last 30 mins.

I would say yes even if it wasn't snowing.

We got more snow from 9-10am than before that time. Looks like rain may be next. Snowflakes are tiny now. About 1.5” total so far. Is that what youve got?

Are you the last person on Earth? If not, then yes.

Baton Rouge and the NS are practically the same outside of some areas that might catch a bit more from a random heavier band. Moderate to light snow into the early afternoon. Ending a little later than BR.

That's about as good a winter picture as you'll get in south Louisiana.
Agree. Hard to believe..

I've never seen this much snow in my life. Coming down really hard at LSU right now

It’s dumping right now around mid city

How's LSU campus today? Many employees decided to stay home today?

I just wanna say, the NAM nailed it.

The undershot it for sure. Especially in central TX where the models didn't even pick up on that heavy band yesterday evening. I guess I'm more forgiving given how delicate these forecasts are: one degree in any layer of the atmosphere can have a significant difference.
It started here (south of Katy) last night ~9:30 but wasn't sticking. Still got the kids up to see if. Then we woke up to about 3 inches stuck and had a snowball fight at 6:30am before heading to school. They had a blast. The 4yo thought we were crazy and sat in the truck with the heater going just watching the rest of us.
