Why are so many black people in Baton Rouge Alabama fans?

I follow lots of news sites and local sites out of Baton Rouge on Facebook and notice that lots of black people have Alabama stuff as their profile pic. what is the deal with this? Is it just out of spite?

their alma mater (southern) is irrelevant, so a lot of them cheer for Alabama out of spite.

Same people were cowboys/niners and Miami fans in the 90s. They like cheering for winning teams so they can brag and act superior. Either that or they are Eddie Lacy/L Collins/Dylan Moses/T Williams cousins.
