Probably the same reason so many white people from Livingston Parish are.

Because these young black athletes and their parents are too stupid to realize that they should be going to HBCUs and building their own back up instead of getting the same people that despise the black community rich.

Because their kids are playing for Nick Saban and not Coach Oh no.

their alma mater (southern) is irrelevant, so a lot of them cheer for Alabama out of spite.

Have you followed SU football the last few years?

And the actual alums of SU are more likely to not care one way or another. It’s those who aren’t alums of either LSU or SU who are more likely riding the Bama train.

That’s not true. LSU students make up a decent chunk of the victims of NBR thugs.

Are you suggesting that “black people” are the same as the thugs and trash that are the source of most all of the ire?

The same reason there were so many black Miami and FSU fans in the 90's. They just latch on the the hot team.

The majority of the these players either came from lower income areas or have strong connections with them through extended family. I'm willing to bet that at least 90% of the black players on LSU's roster has a relative that comes from the "hood".

1. No connection to LSU through school/family
2. LSU fans are mostly white
3. Alabama is a big time winner, both historically and currently, and black culture loves to bandwagon on that (see: Cowboys and Steelers).

Same reason there are so many Alabama fans in New Orleans.

They are unhappy, insecure, and find it easier to cheer for the team favored to win. In many cases they have no ties to a university.

Because when you don't have your own college to cheer for-you naturally cheer for the #1 team.

If they knew how the white Alabama people are they pull for Lsu. Bama still putting up statues while la taking them down. La white people have a good culture compared to the gumps. I know LF7 loves Lsu not Bama.

IF i had to guess same reason there are some older blacks in New Orleans that are Notre Dame fans or cowboys fans.

They didn’t have the balls to pull for their hometown team when times were rough, so they hop on the current flavor of the month.

Speaks a lot of their character. Probably relative to the high number of closet black gays.

Number one rule on the OT - if there isn't a thread about black people on the first page of the forum, you are highly encouraged to make a topic, ANY topic, about black people.
