Was hugging my mom, saying my final goodbye as she took her last breath almost 3 years ago. Hardest thing I've ever experienced. Still doesn't seem real.

Prayers to you and your family. Be strong and be there for your wife. Even if you have no words to say, just let her talk and just listen and let her talk. Sometimes that's all they need.

So sorry for what they are feeling now.

With my parents, I came to a place where I was thankful that they no longer suffered. I could feel peace again in the home I grew up in.

I have had some really vivid dreams and be ready to hold your wife if she wakes up and just doesn't want to talk about her dreams.

Watching a person, especially a loved one, take their last breath is something you never forget.

I’ve been through the same ordeal with my MIL ( more like my Mom) this year . Very painful but I learned a lot about dying a meaningful death and the importance of family. There is great meaning in suffering. Prayers of compassion and acceptance to you and your family.

My prayers are with your family and you. I was with my Dad when he passed away from cancer 25 years ago. Cancer does indeed suck.

Just be there for your wife. She will need your strength

Yes it is very hard to see. We watched my FIL die at the Carpenter House in 2010. He also had lung cancer. Prayers for your family.

Had this happen with both my parents, my father walked into a Dr. appointment, was sent for tests, and 3 weeks later he was dead.

Sorry for your loss.
