Watched my Father In Law die today

My FIL was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 years ago. He's been through chemo and radiation but the cancer was inoperable. He was doing ok until a week ago and went down fast the past few days. He was in an inpatient hospice facility today where we watched him take his final breaths. Man that was a hard thing to watch. Just wanted to vent and ask y'all for prayers for my wife (no pics) and family.

Gets said flippantly here often. But that sounds like some heavy shite that is still weighing on you...so prayers sent. Amidst all the memes and jokes made here, you can tell when the real world rears its head...and sometimes its ugly.

man, watching someone you care about die has to be one of the worst things in life. people are not very well equipped to handle seeing such things. if it weighs too heavy on you, be sure to seek out someone to talk about it with.

Watched my grandfather pass in the same manner just over a year ago. It was very tough and it's carried with me.
But watching him pass before my eyes changed my outlook on life in a positive manner, so I'm hoping that happens for you.
