it's funny, because folks like you would NEVER admit or even recognize that black men are or recently have been targeted by police, unequally treated in the criminal justice system, the job marketplace, etc...

this is called "PROJECTION." Black people don't sit around and talk about how much they hate white people, cause they don't. Distrust, yes, but not hate.
Only 50 years ago blacks were LEGALLY 2nd class citizens, so of course there is distrust there. That's not even a lifetime ago!
Problem with folks like you is, you want to be given empathy and the benefit of doubt, but do not want to do the same.

The funny thing is you think this is a black/white issue. It's not.
Right now it's hot to hate on whitey, but it's not about whitey, it's about successful people. If you're successful and white, black, Asian, you'll be a target. It's about redistributing wealth, nothing else.

However, i do think it should be understood that it did happen. That an unfairness based on ones race and ethnicity did occur. Honestly some people who preach equality sadly don't always mean it. Or at least mean it in the sense of "whats equal for you should be for me as well". I personally believe God made us all equal and that we all should treat each other as such. Its one thing to talk about middle class and lower and upper class. But as human beings. As people. Regardless of race, religion, or whatever. Yet sadly, there are people on both sides of the fence who dont see that or care about that.
