Which is why I dont see the problem. Some posters are complaining about this situation. Why would you want CEO to have any input?

The way I see it and the way it was sold to everybody is that CEO would be a recruiter and cheerleader and let his coordinators have total autonomy. Why is this now a surprise to everyone? FWIW, I would understand if ones argument would be that we shouldnt have hired that type of HC but I dont see that argument being made in reference to this specific incident, namely, the meeting that took place.

*EDIT* NVM. I do see some posters making the "this is why we should have never hired this type of HC in the first place" argument. Thats the argument I was looking for. My point is, now that we have this type of HC we should require that he sit in the corner and clap, not complain about it. Last thing I want is CEO having any input on gameplanning.

If the AD is directing traffic then LSU doesn't need two HCs, pretty darn expensive.

Solution: Fire both of them, yesterday

How bad will it be when O doesn't have good coordinators to actually do all the coaching.

Will we save the program before we see this happen?

He claimed to have heard from 3 sources.

he cited 3 sources on what went down in the meeting. Not what their opinion of ed orgeron is. That is Chris Landrys thoughts.

Some dude made a list of all those posters that didn't like the hire. Need to find that for record I was against this.

You people kill me. What the hell were you hoping to accomplish with your constant bitching? Wasn't going to affect the hire, and some of chose to get on board and support as opposed to being miserable raging fricks. I wasn't 100% on it at all, and it's obvious this was a garbage hire, but a lot of you act like this could have been avoided if we had just listened.

Everyone deserves a voice. The more people that talk and say the same thing, the more people will hear it. Why do you think O is acknowledging the pressure? He hears it...

That's not true.

Do you know what the frick a message board is for? It's for people to express opinions on a topic. This is an LSU message board. I don't think anyone here is foolish enough to think that complaining about a hire right after it happens will change anything. But are we not allowed to discuss something simply because it doesn't conform to your delicate sensibilities? Just let me know, boss!

So Alleva is paying Ed Orgeron to do what exactly?

why anyone thought this would work is just beyond my comprehension.

If this type of new CEO paradigm worked, every organization in the world would already be using it. But it doesn't work, because organizations need a strong, respected leader at the top. That top dog can empower his underlings to run their units as they see fit, but the top guy is the undisputed leader.

This scheme was destined to fail from day 1.
