What is Alleva so involved? Paraphrasing: "That's what he's always wanted and he did not get that with Les Miles. That's why he hired Orgeron. He wanted to have the ability to put his two cents in. It's his toy. Les Miles, nor any other coach, would put up with that."

This is what makes me the angriest. What the frick gives him the right to meddle in with any of this? He is the fricking AD. Is that why he hired Orgeron in the first place, just because he can put in his useless input and take advantage of Orgeron? I don't want much input from Orgeron either, but at least he is the Head Coach, and as bad as he is as a head coach, he has every right to put his 2 cents on anything. Alleva certainly does not. Like many of you have said in this thread and about a million other threads, this plan was was going to be a failure all along, but Alleva pulled it off to selfishly empower himself. Alleva loses more and more respect from me every single day that passes, if that's at all possible. frick him.

RB10, I added your cliffs to the other post. Thank you

I urge all LSU fans to listen to Landry's podcast. It speaks for itself.

That has been my issue with hiring this guy from the start.

Aside from being one of the worst coaches in the history of the SEC, what has he done aside from a line coach?

I have no doubt Orgeron is a great position coach/recruiter. But that's it.

Again, that was referring to Alleva running the offense and defense. He's not. The whole situation is a massive clusterfrick.

ETA: It was more about the title of his thread. Some people were getting defensive and derailing the discussion. It doesn't really matter though since the thread is anchored. I'll take that part out of my OP. I don't want that comment to derail this discussion too.

If I were O I would have said I'm the coach and I'm going to do it my way if you don't like it cut me a check and I'll be on my way. Not that I think he is doing a good job but you can't have the AD doing shite like this and have the respect of your staff.

He's a good recruiter when he has a closer head coach running the show. Can you imagine how easy it is to recruit against LSU now that we gave him the keys? Good lord.

I'm kind of pissed yours got anchored. I didn't want to start a new thread, but felt this way everyone at least knows what we're talking about.

No, it was just that is was so obvious and not hard to figure out how poor of a hire this was.

Spot. On analysis. Orgeron is a joke as a HC.

I'm glad you spelled it all out, because this is big stuff that people need to hear and know about to be able to make informed decisions about the state of this program.

If this was the plan they were going for then they should have never hired O. I wasn’t sure what he brought to the table besides recruiting, but I figured that there were obviously many positives for them to hire him. It really only infuriated me more at Aleeva! What a disservice he has done to this program!

And how could this model ever sustain long term success??? Aleeva must go NOW!

Everyone deserves a voice. The more people that talk and say the same thing, the more people will hear it. Why do you think O is acknowledging the pressure? He hears it...

I'm mainly referring to the "we tried to tell them" sentiment. I wasn't a rager but I wasn't a pumper either. It was just too much on both sides. I think most of us weren't buying in to the playoffs but felt good enough that he could sustain the program with the right people. But the noise was too much. But, I guess it's a message board, so whatever.

I'm still watching tigergaitlawyer for some updates. There's been nothing but damaging info coming out about Alleva for a few weeks now. I can't see his stock is in the black at all with the people who matter.

i think since you listed everything that was said it may help it stay at the top. as i've said before chris landry is a pretty reliable guy...don't see why what he has said on this should be anchored.

problem for O is that an embarrassment at home to auburn will erase all the collateral he's built up this week...and will most likely kill home attendance for the rest of the year.

Once we start having the attitude of "Oh well. frick it. Let's just try and be positive about this clown show", is the moment we begin to accept mediocrity. I refuse to let that happen without voicing my concerns.
