Through all this discussion, if true, why does LSU hire O if they have no faith in his ability to provide even minimum support and input to his coordinators if/when their units are under performing?? So, we all expected a guy with the past track record of O to stand silent when the offense is no executing?? And, when everyone and his brother has complained about the shifts and sweep being ineffective BS in the first few games??? Sounds to me like everyone wants a scapegoat and it needs to be O with Alleva playing both ends toward the middle - I smell at least one rat, maybe several - they include Canada, Alleva, possibly the BOS wannabe coaches, and the maddening crowd. O was set up to fail before he ever got started then - and BTW, I had no opinion on whether to hire O - I'm the kind of person who expects people to own up to their decisions though, and if they hired O to a long term contract, then give the guy the opportunity to fix problems that he sees - otherwise, he's nothing but an empty suit and provides no value - people in charge should know that won't work and it's unfair to all involved.

I think a majority of it is an opinion of fabricated information in order for a person with a podcast to garner clicks and monetize his opinion.

In order to legitimize his comments he uses the words sources. I can promise you all 3 individuals in that meeting have contracts that would be compromised should private information be leaked to said sources.

So again I say to you: Do you think a man making 1.8 million per year and one making 2 million per year would call another coach and complain to them about their issues, and in return that individual or cofidant would contact Chris fricking Landry to tell him these private issues.

Come the frick on.

So

Step 1. Fire Alleva and O.

Step 2. Hire new competent AD.

Step 3. Jimbo? Might be able to get him for a bargain after this year.

Step 3: Anybody but O

At least that's where I'm at.

The LSU athletic department is the best reality TV going right now.

Lord, do I miss Emmert.

I believe every single thing Landry said, and truly think Alleva needs to go, yesterday. I find it ironic how he says the fact that this meeting took place never should have become public, then goes right on to give the details of that meeting. I think it's pretty clear that Landry has it in for Alleva. That doesn't make anything he says not true. And I'm thankful for the last 2 podcasts

Why would they anchor this thread?

Something weird is going on.

Really weird.

No reason a thread linking or detailing a podcast of a well-respected insider should anchored.

I've come to the conclusion alleva wanted O the whole time so he could take charge of the program because he knew O was a beta.

There's some weird shite going on and this will go down on college football as the weirdest thing ever.

Once we start having the attitude of "Oh well. frick it. Let's just try and be positive about this clown show", is the moment we begin to accept mediocrity. I refuse to let that happen without voicing my concerns.

Totally agree.

I was a Miles supporter and didn't like the heat he took from fans but also understood it. The fans, under Miles, were not going to accept mediocrity. Yet for O it seems they are willing to do just that (not everyone of course). O's Florida win would have been described as the team winning in spite of their HC.

I assumed we were firing a successful coach to bring an even more successful and promising coach to the program. We didn't and seem to be the process of falling from the ranks of CFB's successful programs.

I feel as if the attitude you described took hold once most of the fan base accepted the suggestion that we are a team without SEC talent or true depth.

2. If that statement about Alleva is true, he wants to put his two cents in, then he needs to be fired. LSU will never land a proven, successful coach with Alleva as AD.

May have had something to do with Herman as well, although i still think he goes to Texas because its dream job.. it could be the reason he was told no a few times.. I dont think you have a choice now that the cat is out of the bag.. Alleva has to be fired.
