I was at the Swamp (along with about 500 other Tiger fans - and no, I'm not exaggerating, it was that little).

They play very little piped-in music at the Swamp. The bands played much more.

I actually felt I was at a college football game.

This is a Coach O problem and not the music coordinator. They wait until the band has finished playing and are lined up by the goal posts. They can't start the music any earlier unless you want them to start the "piped in music" over the band.

This never seemed to be a problem back in the day. It doesn’t need to be wall to wall noise and lights and stimuli.

Why the frick not? If they can't play the whole game, what the frick is the use for them besides Pregame and Touchdowns?

Fair critiques, but the one thing I will say is there is a lot more that goes into gameday than meets the eye.

All the coordination/timing/song selection. It's not as easy as hitting shuffle on your ipod.

Indeed. VT has mastered the science of eliciting pre-game hype from the crowd.

I once visited a friend who went to VT and we went to the VT/Boston College game, which was at night.

I didn't give a single frick about either team, and couldn't have cared less who won. But when they played Enter Sandman and the team ran out, I was jacked up as hell to watch some football.

The piped in music is noise pollution. It is killing the stadium's atmosphere.

1) Get the pregame "Tiger Stadium" video to sync with the sound. When Hodson, Faulk, etc are speaking, their mouths are off by about 3 seconds from the sound. Like those old Kung Fu movies

True - they just don't see to learn or care... but they should

True again - LSU should learn a thing or two from concert creators... there is "intro" stuff 5-10 mins before a song starts - build up excitement and tension and gathers butts in seats

3) Cut back on the piped-in music during the game. Be selective.

True - With the talk of declining attendance around the country, the game day atmosphere should stay in the realm of experiences that can only be had at the venue/ stadium - one being more of the TGBFTL. More band music and less piped in music that you can hear on the radio. In addition, this is not the NFL, so lets not try to be like them. Be you. Be unique. Be LSU.

P.S. I will be putting in my resume for assistant to the AD, when a new one is announced.

Look forward to serving the Tiger community. This isn't that hard.

The admins have really limited the visiting band from playing. I wonder if this is what is different from years ago? Both bands taking turns would fix this problem not that I want to hear other teams' bands.

People used to come to hear the live band, and we’re quite entertained. But then, we also used to also go to concerts to hear live bands too, not DJs.

They've also started playing Callin' Baton Rouge at the break between the 3rd and 4th quarters. But they always play it with like 30 seconds left in the break so it cuts off before the first chorus even plays. I have no idea why they don't either 1. play it sooner or 2. (if they can't because of other things already being played) just don't play it at all.

Hi Kyle. I certainly recognize all the time and effort that goes into this. I know it isn't easy. But I think LSU is worth all the trouble.

No detail too small:

Stop talking over the beginning to four corners/Pregame&Touchdown. As a kid, my favorite part of the day was when that first sound of the cymbals.

Surely we can do the introduction before the band takes the field.
