if you let Miles be interim AD, its practically free. Sounds like a plan

and if we make him full time AD, well I know what you're thinking, there is no way he's qualified for that job and you're right. But what if we hired two of the most expensive assistant ADs in the country to do all of the work for him and Les is more of a figurehead? Brilliant plan, right? I don't see how it could fail.

Even if we can't fire O after this year, firing Alleva will send him a clear message that he doesn't have daddy's shoulder to cry on anymore if things keep going south. It will either light a fire under his arse or just make him quit, making canning him that much easier. Win-win.

Why does the AD have a buy out? Why does anyone have a buy out for that matter? Be good at your job or get fired.

Alleva is finished already, IMO. I'm sure we'll read some sob story in ESPN or SI about him, eventually.

He has already held LSU UP WITHOUT A GUN AND Its $ 1,999,999.99 more than his bad asre is worth.

His time will come up very soon before he can hurt LSU anymore than he already has........and he will leave without any more LSU money he never earned

Possibly the buyout Orgeron has. If the BOS fires Alleva now, but they decide they don't want to pay O to go away; they may have a tough time getting one of those top tier ADs on the short list to come here. Who is going to want to take the LSU AD job to watch the biggest money maker for the AD go into the tank for a year or two before he can do anything about it?

F. King, Alleva, and O all need to go, but this is a completely fricked up situation right now. The BOS bares the blame for it all, and this mess won't get straightened out until they're either replaced, or they get their shite together.

The actual Alleva figure, once you factor in the income from future employment, is probably much closer to $900,000, payable monthly over 5 1/2 years. That works out to about $13,500 per month, which is about what LSU would pay a well-regarded shadow staff member.

If people can’t realize this guy is the major problem then I feel for them. It always starts at the top. He is incompetent, period. All of our problems can be laid at his doorstep. There are others to blame as well but he is primarily responsible

No he doesn't. Probably closer to $1,487,500 today. His base salary is $525,000 a year. His contract runs to July 2020. His termination without cause-liquidated damages is 100% of base salary for remaining contract term. So, from today, he'd have right at 34 months remaining at $43,750 per month.

Fire him and let him take us to court. Hiring O The Rosy Finch Boyz is cause to terminate the contract alone. Throw in the $ and guaranteed buyout. No jury would side with Alleva.

The fact that LSU was dumb enough to swallow the level of buyout contracts it did for both Alleva and Orgeron shows you all you need to know about the administrative failures in the LSU system.

Where is the BOS? Where are the checks and balances? Where is the damn media demanding public interviews with the decision makers?

It is ALL so broken.

Pay them their salary, but demote them to a menial job, where they can interact with drunk irate LSU fans (security guard at Mike the Tiger’s cage).

1. Drunk fan punches Alleva/O
2. Fan gets punched back
3. Fire for cause
4. No buyout
5. Hire new coach
