I searched the news and nothing. I had some employees there yesterday who saw a guy jump from the parking garage. Scream then a very loud thud in the street. They had to give statements to the police.

A lady jumped off a local hospital parking garage in Alexandria recently too. Something about her boyfriend dumping her. She left a 6 y/o kid behind. Patient's families in icu waiting saw her jump.
Side note: that's a hard core way to go. Even a gun can misfire or not necessarily kill you. Not too many people walk away from a jump that's high enough.

There was a couple this week off the Natchez Trace bridge less than a mile from me.
Zero media coverage. I think they do that on purpose to not give other people ideas.

They typically don't publicize things like that. The sunshine skyway bridge is one of the most 'popular' bridges for jumpers yet they never cover it on the news.

I only know because traffic gets shut down on 96 under that bridge and vandy proactively lands a lifeflight helicopter at the bottom if they are still negotiating with the jumper 
I jump on Waze and read the comments from people directly under it.
Eta it's a pretty fricked up situation when I'm coming home from work and this is going on. Puts things in perspective if I'm having a bad day
