Just replaced my unit with a half ton larger Trane. Was able to turn everything up a couple degrees. We used have to do 68 at night because my duct work to the master bed was jacked up. Now we do 73 during the day, and 70 at night.

We get great shade on our house from the tree in front yard, 70 degrees on AC does the job. I like it cool, but shockingly, this temp works.

I would say anything below 68 would make me cold (unless I was sleeping). I am most comfortable between 69 and 71 on my thermostat.

You are right kind of. After Katrina ( using a window unit for a week ) I got hooked on the white noise and cold temp. Installed a unit like a motel room has in bedroom. Not as trashy as window unit but privileged because of white noise.

72 feels cold to me. Usually keep it around 75-76. Sounds like a bunch of fatasses here keeping it in the upper 60’s

man, I stay in hotels a lot and I would love this. I am not sure why I have never thought to install something like that in my house....

I'm happy at 77. If it gets a little warm I just turn the fan on. I do turn it down for guests though

My daughter and I are both very hot natured. We keep it at 68-69 and are comfortable. My poor wife walks around like she is in Siberia.

Somewhat OT, do old people have different body thermostats? I went to see my grandma in Spring, TX last month. I went to her house after we ate at a restaurant and her house was 82! I asked her if she was hot after a few minutes inside and she replied she was fine.

I remember my great uncle wouldn't run his AC in the summer, but that is mostly because he was cheap, despite being a millionaire.

I keep my AC at 74 during the day and at night. I could probably have it on 72 without it being "too cold", but 74 is perfectly fine and I typically "run hot". We have a new unit that works much better than what I was used to at my apartment.

In my apartment I kept the AC on 71 at night and 73 during the day. Any warmer and I couldn't sleep.
