This is what pissed off the a-hole cop. Right when the guy on the phone said "you're making a huge mistake (politely)".

Why is the Nurse the one having to fight this? They don't have doctors and adminstestors

Then the other officer tells her "there was probably a better solution to this"
F'ing blaming her for being strong armed by the douche. Get a F'ing warrent if you need it, douche. Obviously, if you need the blood work, legally you'll get it. Maybe not right this second, but let the process your dept worked out with the hospital play out instead of blaming a lonely nurse for impeding your investigation.

Funny I was told her white privilege should never have gotten her treated like that or was this guy just color blind or something? Or could it just be that some cops (not all of them just a small group of them) or power tripping dicks?

I thought this board supported unlawful search and seizure for suspected impaired drivers and then draconian sentences like the death penalty for first time offenses

Nice. First red flag for that department is that even the chief has a shaved head.

Really stupid of the cop for multiple reasons. Even if she would've complied and they found something on the blood test, wouldn't that information have been inadmissible in court due to the fact it was obtained illegally?

Another case of an idiot behind a badge.

Then they should be trained better or moved out of interaction with citizens (somebody has to handle the evidence locker). That's what we did with people that couldn't handle the stress in the Infantry. Sent them to be "box kickers".

What kind of criminal record did this nurse have? The nurse should just learn to comply with the police.

Makes my blood boil. Fire that officer and charge his arse. Enough of this crap from cops.

To people who consistently defend cops: this is what happens when you have a public that hero worships police, reflexively defend cops and believe what they're told. This is what happens when you have a legal system that allows cops to kill people indiscriminately and face almost no criminal or civil liability.
Cops will continue to do this, and get away with it, so long as the public at large shows them the deference that ours does on a regular basis.
