Sorry to hear that bud. Prayers sent to you and your family. I lost my dad the day after Christmas in 14'. It's tuff. He was my 2 brothers and I hunting, fishing buddy and best friend. He lives on in our hearts. Just be thankful for the times you've had with him. Hang in there

I will never forget driving away from my home town, knowing that I'd never see my parents again. I don't know if my Father could hear my final words to him, your saying you had a good visit with your Father gave me a smile.
I did get to talk to my Mother, but she was befuddled.
I pray for you and your family and for strong memories of the good things.

Sorry you cannot be with him, I am thankful for you and he that he was in a position to get them, so many are not able to get them at the moment they need them, thoughts are with you and your family.

A bunch of good advice in this thread. It sounds like quite a few of us have been through this in the last couple of years. God bless you and your family. Take care of each other.
As a dad, I am positive that he is as grateful to have a son like you as you are to have had a dad like him.

I'll put a twist on this thread and say how lucky your dad is for this. God blessed him and I bet he feels at peace now.
Prayers to you and your family. Your pops is in great hands now.

I will pray for you and your family's peace and comfort. I know your head is swimming with thoughts and memories. Please do ask your Baws on the platform to keep an eye on you so you don't get hurt on the job. The last thing you and your family need now is more bad news.

So sorry to hear that, prayers sent up that God will lay his hands on you, your father, and your family. Consider yourself lucky that you got to have one last good day with him.
If the preacher read him his last rites then it sounds like he was sick, I know it won't help any, but just know he's about to be without pain any longer. I can remember my dad telling me that some of the last words his father ever said to him were "Son, I'm tired of being sick." Passed a couple of days later. Keep that in mind that his earthly burdens will no longer be upon him anymore.
