All of those guys play SF, even Snell.
You asked me to name one player Solo is better than so I named a few. You can't dismiss players I name because they are older or play for the Blazers.
And you insinuated that Solo was the worst SF in the league by your "name one player you would take Hill over" comment. I answered your question and it seems you at least agree with MKG and Ross. So while I think there are more, it seems that at the very least he's not the worst SF which was your initial point.

I'm pretty sure i was the most anti Asik to stupid proportions.
I apologize for being a jackass to you 2 years ago. I was obviously not very happy with the signing.

If we stretch Asik and dump QPon, we may be able to use most of the non-tax MLE (minus jackson's $) on someon like IanClark. Rondo would be BAE. Don't think we want to spend that much, but we will see.

Can you fukkin read? I asked you to name a STARTING SF that Solo is better than. You named a bunch of other shite, like bench players and players who are better than Solo. As far as the 2 Blazers, Turner is better than Solo (and was our original FA target, but we settled for Solo once Turner was offered more money), the same can be said about the Blazers other 3 SF's (Harkless, Crabbe, Aminu). Our problem is compounded at SF, because we also have the worst backup SF's in the league. We are solid everywhere else but SF.

I don't see how you argue Turner is better.
Worse BPM
Worse OBPM
Worse DBPM
Worse VORP
Worse WS/48
Worse TS%
But yeah
Better PER
Higher USG%
Costs 5mil more

He is better than Solo. Did you watch him in the playoffs against Golden St? Do you remember him in Boston?

What did he do vs GS that was different than the Evan Turner regular season?
He was worse offensively, but better defensively, yet still a net negative for his team when he played.
Offensively On/Off: 12.2 Rating worse with him on the court
Defensively On/Off: 10.3 Rating better with him on the court
Also, him in boston =/= who he is now. And even while he was still in boston, he wasn't THAT much better.
Fun fact:
Turner still had a worse
BPM (ORPM and DRPM)
VORP
TS%
while in boston
So, how is he better?

This trade works on Sept. 7 when McBob's 2 month trade restriction comes off. WHO SAYS NO???
NOP get another lockdown defender on the wing creating Grit N Grind Grizz Lite.
CLE get Melo and shed Love + Frye's garbage D
NYK get 3 expirings and Powell who's got upside. Driving that tank for next year whilst Cavs throw in pick comp.
Dallas get heir to Dirk w/ a nice Smith-Matthews-Barnes-Love-Noel core for next 3 years.

Us and Benson
Nobody is going to live in the tax for Iman Shumpert.

If you look at the Trade Failed at the top, I'd say the league says no. The Pels can't take back $6 million in an uneven trade.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Turner is great; I think he is better than Solo. That being said, Hill is a better fit on this team due to his 3pt shooting. I just wish he was more consistant. It would be nice to have a strong backup SF also, since Solo ranks so low at his position among starters.

You asked for a SF worse than Solo and I gave you:
-MKG (started 81 games last season)
-Joe Johnson (started 14 games this past season and it's the first season he hasn't started every game he's been in since 2004)
-DeMarre Carroll (started all 72 games he played in in Toronto)
-Terrance Ross (started every game in Orlando)
-Evan Turner (started 12 games but logged 25 mpg and is not close to as good as Solo)
-Maurice Harkless (started 69 of 77 game he played in this season)
-Tony Snell (started all 80 of the game he played in last season)
-Thabo Sefolosha (started 42 of 62 games he played in last season)
-Kent Bazemore (started 64 of the 73 games he played in last season)
I'll admit that Joe Johnson and Evan Turner are stretching the term "starting" but they both gave starter-esqe minutes at SF to their teams.
You don't have to agree with my list but I answered your question. So chill bruh it's only a conversation. I think we can at least agree Solo isn't great but he's not Al-Farouq Aminu, Alonzo Gee, Lance Thomas, or Josh Childress either
If I know one thing, it's that Dell is going to be super pleased when he comes on this board to find out we are solving his SF issues for him

I think in his mind the problem was solved when he signed Darius Miller.

But come the trade deadline of next season, he'll be much much easier to move, and by that offseason, he'll be a wanted man for teams looking to make space.
This may be the best plan.
This team ain't going to win the championship this season; however, a run the following season may be possible with the right roster management. Asik could be usednin the above plan to return a solid role player imo for someone trying to get out of a contract to rebuild.
I would look to try to dump Ajinca and still use Asik as a low minute filler big until he can be unloaded.

Solo does rank low.
Turner just ranks lower. Turner literally does nothing better than Solo and add an extra 5mil to his contract it becomes even more laughable how bad it is.

I'm talking about talent, not contracts. Check their career stats, Turner is better than Solo (he also plays well in the postseason).
we're talking about the present, are we not? Presently Turner is not better than Solomon Hill.
Turner was the 2nd overall pick and has been considered a huge fail. Offensively he's all volume and cannot shoot. His PPG says he's good, but his shooting % says otherwise.
And you say he plays well in the postseason, but the funniest part? He's been a net negative for his team in the playoffs every year except one.
Solomon Hill on the other hand, was a positive.
Or how about this
Turner's best BPM: -0.7
Hill's BPM last year: -0.3
Turner's best VORP: 0.8
Hill's VORP last year: 1.0
Turner's best WS/48: 0.085 (boston)
Hill's WS/48 last year: 0.055
Turner's best TS%: 0.513
Hills TS% last year: 0.527
The only thing that Turner has that is "better" is PER and that's because he has a USG rate that close to double Hill's.
Even in the playoffs (cumulative or single season), Hill has a better BPM, VORP, WS/48, and even PER.

Dell loves Hill. Mc Millan praises Solo on TBW Podcast.
this year Pels are not looking for upgrade on SF position. Bench player - yes. Upgrade - no.
As to Miller. He is 6'7'. But he is SG. He might have size, but all of his last years in Europe were at SG.
He may play in 3 guard lineup, but I don't expect him to be SF. He cannot defend them.
