I really don't think the book version will be that different for Daenerys. The biggest difference, in my opinion, will be how fAegon factors in.

IMO I think the Targaryen line is going to continue through Jon; I don't know who it'll be with. Jon doesn't have too many options outside of his aunt and two cousins .

How book Meereen will be like the show:
1. Dany arrives in their hour of need to turn the tide.
2. Dragons wreck the invading fleet.
3. Dothraki hoard wipes out the invading ground forces.
How book Meereen will be different from the show:
1. Victarion will deliver the Iron Fleet to Dany.
2. Jorah will regain Dany's grace in the Battle for Meereen.
3. Barristan will die a hero's death.

I would say any straight male in the story would have at least a 75 percent chance of falling in love with Daenerys if given the opportunity.
