It is known.

We get into his head in the books, so we have a good idea what qualities in women he finds attractive. Save for her natural beauty, Dany has none of these things.

I think they share the thread of not knowing their mothers, being in an overwhelming position as leaders to protect their people, and both have respect for those that are beneath them because of what they've experienced in life.

She's been savvy enough to make Tyrion fall in love with her.

I'm willing to bet they end up meshing pretty well when they meet.

fan-fic, evidently

on another note, the actor that plays walder frey fricking nailed that opening scene. watch his facial expressions and listen to his speech pattern change as he begins the toast

really well done

If we're going by the books, there's debate that when we last see Dany she's potentially miscarried or is having her period. And if we take the prophecy metaphorically, it's almost been fulfilled.

I mean, no, but she has had miles of mercenary cock run through her during her exploits with no pregnancy scares.

Hmm...I don't recall, been too long since I've read the books.

Go back and watch the scene where she gives him his Hand of the Queen pin.

It's pretty clear he's crazy about her.

They could marry each other to unite the kingdoms

That is how alliances are typically made between the great houses. Jon and Dany are the obvious match, but they could also become allied by blood. Jon, Dany, Sansa and Cercei should all have marriages for alliance's sake.

I think you might've been reading a little too much into that scene. He greatly admires her as a ruler, even to the point of kneeling to her (which he refused to do for Joffrey), but he isn't turning into Lord Friendzone (aka Jorah).

I'm not sold on that when being true. Besides if she can give birth to dragons and is impervious to fire, and Jon Snow can comeback to the dead, then I'm not ready to just assume her fertility status is static.

90+ pages - and I read every post. Hope it goes another 90. A few thoughts on the episode.

The cold opening was ok but I was a little underwhelmed by it. It just seemed to lack narrative tension.

Loved the Arya and the Lannister solider scene. I think it was important to grey up the increasing black and white storyline. It parallels the Lady Stone Heart storyline from the books to some extent in showing sympathetic Lanister forces. Though I'm kind of torn because I don't really want to see Arya become LSH unhinged.

Danny's landing was quiet but fine.

The Hound/brotherhood stuff was great. He may be the best character on the show and it looks like Dondarion and Thoros are the perfect characters to share his arc.

I think the show is not quite hitting on all cylinders on the Jon/Sansa dynamic. But I'm hopeful it will come around before too long.

Or she just gave him the only thing in this world outside of whores that ever made him happy.

It is going to be like Lost. People will just say it was about the journey and call people that don't like the end morons.

Dany is a know-it-all, doesn't have any spunk to her, and is pretty boring of a person overall.

She fricking roasted an entire city of slavers using their own slave soldiers. I think that counts as spunk.

What's funny about that is that Lost tried to keep all the mysteries to themselves until the finale and people melted about that, now game of thrones has taken steps to actually have a concise ending that makes sense and people are whining that it's too predictable

My point still stands. She's charismatic enough to create an affectionate bond with someone like Tyrion. There's no reason to think she isn't capable of hitting it off with Jon Snow.

I don't disagree with that at all. Deffinitly think you misinterpreted that a Tyrion scene tho
