What's really funny about that is the same thing was said 15 years ago. Yet, here we are.

What's sad is I lived in the Middle East 7 years ago and they were already wireless. The wifi in my house ran off the 3G cell towers.

I'm pretty unhappy about them dropping their upgrade plan with the 2 year construct. I would always have a phone for 2 years then upgrade. I pay a bit over $190 for two lines. I'm running out of reasons to stay with AT&T and apple in general. If I'm as limited with iTunes as they say, why keep iPhone if I have to buy it outright every 2 years or have monthly installments which will essentially just make my bill $250 a month.

Somebody needs to tell AT&T this.

I'm grandfathered in on one of their old Unlimited Data plans. I've got 3 days left in this month's cycle and I've used 13.7 gigs. I rarely get on Wi-Fi.

I also have one of the old unlimited plans. AT&T refuses to lower what I pay even though I've threatened to switch and have moved other numbers on my account to another carrier.

The first time I called ATT (home internet) up and threatened to cancel they appeased me. A year later I called and threatened to cancel and they cancelled my arse. I was without internet by the time I got back home.

Do you have unlimited data for each line? I'm also renting the phones. If you already own phone, props to you.

Family plan (Brother & mom) sharing 20 gigs of data. Our mother rather uses any data so it works out perfect for us.

You can still get a 2 year contract with ATT. Just ask for their loyalty representative.

It's true. I've posted about it recently in a thread on the Tech board.

Calling bullshite. My same plan with Sprint and 5 users is $360/mo

Don't make me have to break out my cell phone bill and post it.

It's true. Some of you need to learn how to negotiate better.

8 year customer. And I just recently switched to their "new" plan that is being offered to their "new" customers.

this is covering up the true story under the "saturation" clause. In reality, Obama phones are going away, and your taxes on the phone lines will dwindle. Couple that with the mainstreaming of technology, no company will be able to compete unless they lower prices.

You can absolutely get lower plans if you are willing to go with the smaller outlets. We recently switched to metropcs and got 2 lines unlimited data for $80 total (including taxes).

T-Mobile shook the industry up. It was only a matter of time before one of the carriers up and decided to do what they did

So if all these smaller wireless carriers, which ones have the best coverage in and around Baton Rouge?

Lol

All these years and they still think Internet traffic won't continue to increase exponentially. Even with all of the wired and wireless broadband, there still isn't enough capacity if everyone decided to cut the cord tomorrow. What's going to happen when we all have 4K tvs?
