re: Have you ever used the wrong word?

I once meant to say tentacles (trying to explain how wide spread a certain situation was) and accidentally said testicles. Was on a call with some higher ups and multiple levels of management. I couldn’t contain my embarrassment laughter and shock. Took me a good minute to regroup.

I've used Airalo multiple times. Works great and cheap.
re: Retirement Modeler
Posted by Htown Tiger on 7/10/26 at 8:15 am to way_south
I have built a model in Excel (might dabble in some AI in the future, good idea), but one thing I havent really figured out yet is how to best figure out my distributions to minimize my tax bracket in retirement. I will have a good mix of 401k, Roth, and brokerage accounts, and so trying to figure out where my retirement income should come from (i.e. which sources), is what I havent really modeled out. I also want to minimize the required distributions from my 401k as well, so that those dont push me into a higher tax bracket.
Anyway, curious if your model has any of that built into it? (I havent clicked your link, cant do it from my work laptop, which is what I'm on)

What is your strike price? Most of my calls expire either in Jan or Dec 2027, with strike prices ranging from $40-$90. Time decay (theta) starts accelerating about 4 months prior to expiration. If your strike price is under $125 for December 2027 calls, I would just hold on until late August 2027 after earnings earlier that month.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, my strike is $50. And its still short term, so may as well continue to hold. The swings on this guy are just crazy.

I have some Dec 27 calls that I can't decide what to do with. Take these profits knowing a pullback and swings will happen, or just forget it and leave it.

I always lower my 401k contribution to like 2% for my bonus check and then up it back afterward.

L&L Seafood. Been getting mine there for over a decade.

Based on its history, I’d say sell and wait for the pull back. But who the hell knows with this one? I’m enjoying the ride
Definitely my initial thought. Think I'll hold for now and see how it plays out. With it being house money, it helps.

Appreciate the advice!

What would you guys do with Dec 27 $50 calls? Up almost 400%. Sold a few contracts earlier to get initial investment back, so essentially playing with house money. Continue to let it ride, or play the "sell, wait for pullback" game with this one? It's been a highly volatile stock the last few months.

Yeah, no. You've definitely come to the right place for advice OP.

Yes internal audit is a waste of a career if you’re at a private company. At best you save the company money, at worst you piss off the wrong person.
Go back to either Big 4 firm in their consulting groups instead. Your pay will likely double - and you’re more than smart enough to succeed.
Hoping this is sarcasm. If not, please don't listen to this blowtard.

If they lose that first game, it's a ridiculously tough path to 9+ wins.
Exactly my point. So why not take LSU + money on the ML against Clemson vs laying juice on over 8.5

I'd rather just put the money on LSU + moneyline vs Clemson. If we cant beat them, I dont see us going 9-2 the rest of the way. Just my two cents.
re: 4x1 Multiviewer Question for Quad boxing TV

Thanks, that makes sense. I guess that's true, I could always just stream the local channels via the HDMI device.
4x1 Multiviewer Question for Quad boxing TV
Posted by Htown Tiger on 6/1/25 at 8:00 am
I've been looking into getting a multiviewer to split my TV into a quad box for sports watching. I like the 4x1 HDMI multiviewers, so I can attach Chromecast, Roku, etc. However, what happens if one of the things I want to watch is simply on satellite/antenna TV? Can I switch off HDMI from one of the 4 boxes to simply display regular antenna TV (and yes, I have an antenna).
TIA, new to all of this ...

Enjoy the next 24 hrs! Ha
Just had my first one about 2 weeks. The prep is definitely the worst part. The colonoscopy itself is nothing. All clear (pin intended) on my end. Don't need to go back for another 10 years.

Have you watched Tennessee play at all this year? They’re legit. And OU almost lost to Houston at home. If the spread were +14 maybe, but I can see Tenn winning by double digits easily. But then again I’ve watched both teams this year.
Makes me feel even better about my OU +7. BOL.
