I was thinking about getting the Nest, but have been talked out of it by a few. Need opinions. TIA

I think I want one of these. Can you control it from an app?

I like my nest but I'll be honest that I don't know much about the others.
Check the technology board too. They are knowledgeable

I have a nest and I like it, but everything I've read says that the ecobee is the best product on the market.

I have a Honeywell that came with my house that works great

I have two Honeywell thermostats. They've been in business longer than most of the other "trend" thermostat companies and their app is solid.

I will probably buy a few ecobees soon.

Ecobee4 if you want an alexa speaker. Ecobee3 if not. Most stores are running special that includes 2 free sensors right now...if you want a Nest, I can make you a good deal on my old used one. Just swapped for for the ecobee4.

I like my nest but if i bought again I would buy one that you can put sensors in the house to talk to the main thermostat.... so you can ensure the desired temp in hotter spots.

In have the ecobee 4 and it's been great. Can talk to Alexa thru it now, app controlled, learns patterns.
I'm an android guy. So it fits my Set up going forward. Bought it off Amazon and signed up for the Amazon card (awesome) and got $70 off purchase.
As far as the best, I think you'll hear negative stuff from geeks who try to fully automate their home and had some issues with nest. But all these products are food at doing what they do, control the temp more efficiently

I can't speak about what is the best, but I like the Lennox iConfort thermostat I have.

The Honeywell wifi thermostats work with Alexea. I've been pleased with my two.

I've got a nest and really like it. Next house will probably be ecobee. I'd search the tech board for more info though.
