Is this guy going to jail? UPDATE - Murder charge for cop and husband

That is Deputy Shauna Thompson and her husband Terry. These local heroes put their lives on the line to prevent a heinous public urination episode at a neighborhood Dennys, and it just so happened that Mr. Hernandez asphyxiated and eventually died as a result.

Of course, no arrests were made when Deputy Thompson's co-workers arrived. And the included video has all the greatest hits we've grown accustomed to seeing. The dying man being ignored and unaided as he kicks and gurgles. The local hero laying prone on the perpetrator with solid placement of the choke hold. His heroic deputy wife assisting with the immobilization. The ignorant bystander claiming recording the incident is illegal and the videographer will end up in jail. All the usual hits we're used to by now.

So will the spouse of the LEO receive the same "benefit of the doubt" that the deputy would if she were the primary in the fight?

Is anyone going to jail?

Deputy Chauna Thompson, 45, and her husband, Terry Thompson, 41, also of Crosby, turned themselves in Thursday night. Bail was set at $100,000 each. The couple posted bail Friday morning and they were released. They could face up to life in prison if convicted.
