Greatest dilemma you've faced whether or not to bang a chick

Several years ago, this girl went to work for my CPA. She was about a decade younger than me, just out of college, and married with a kid. I was in an LTR at the time. She was given my account and we developed a good working relationship.

Fast forward a few years and she gets divorced and my LTR has ended. I was devastated over the breakup but started hitting the town on weekends and ran into her several times. She dropped more than a few not so subtle hints. A couple times my buddies even picked up on it and asked why I didn't pursue her. She was hot and I wanted her but I just couldn't do it.

I have a gift for pissing women off and know all too well that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Because she did a great job preparing my financial statements and keeping me with a low tax obligation, I was afraid of the consequences if we hooked up and things went sideways, as they normally have in my relationships with women. As a business owner, it's not as simple as submitting a W-2. There are a lot of deductions that a tax pro can find that lowers your liability. And she knew more about my finances than anyone. She eventually left my CPA firm for a larger one 3 hours away. I still wonder if I made the right decision.

I discussed the possibilities with an older man I respected, also a business owner. He pointed out even though she wasn't directly employed by me, she had the power to cause me great misery if things didn't go her way. He told me "never fish off the company dock" and that was pretty much the deciding factor to keep my dick in my hand. Any other OT'ers have a similar story?
