More rustic: Saddleback, Popov

More like the one you posted: JW Hulme, Aspinal, or if you really wanna ball, Smythson

I've had Saddleback and Popov wallets, but I prefer smaller, card holder type wallets.

There was a thread on this site a while back that turned me on to Saddleback Leather Co. I bought a wallet from them, and it is outstanding.

I think I'm about to ditch the bi/tri fold wallet and go to the slim card holder. I hardly ever carry cash anymore so what's the point of the wallet?

Money clip is your friend. You just don't need to carry more than ID, insurance card, credit and debit card and some petty cash on a daily basis.

Nope. Scruffy has an unbranded alligator skin thing he got as a present. Some company in south LA makes them for designer companies. Got one before it was stamped and made more expensive with the brand name.

I use a saddleback leather wallet. It's the same type of design as that one, but it has more of a rough, rustic feel to it. That Allen Edmonds looks more refined. It's also more expensive. I think the Saddleback wallets run about $50-$60. They are good quality though and definitely made to last. It definitely will outlast me. A legit critique about them is that the leather is hard and needs to be broken in. I have heard from other people and experienced it a bit myself that it can be hard on your cards until it gets broken in.

I got one. I thought the leather and construction seemed a step above the other department store stuff and has 10 card bays/pockets on each side. I have had it for three or four years. Still looks nice and functions. It just sits in my pocket so I don't know why people are giving you shite about designer/status symbol preoccupation.

I've used a Saddleback medium bifold daily for the past 3 years. It is built like a tank-almost too much so. Still not broken in. Cards are still tough to remove and it hurts to sit on. Still looks brand new after 3 years. I think it was $55.
