I'll go...I can appreciate the need to move swiftly in some cases - refugee matter - but I can also appreciate some guiding parameters for staff....I think DJT is an idea guy and will need to develop a competent policy team for big picture items. Now, the Dems have a hand in this too as not approving Cabinet members has not helped

And I'm asking you to name some POLICIES I should oppose.. if he is pushing policy that nobody should support, it shouldn't be hard to name some

I'm not asking you to list shite. I'm asking if you are even capable of admitting when something's not right. Or if you are capable of rational thought when it comes to his policies, or merely engaging in groupthink.
We (as in the right) had a pretty contentious primary this year. You must have missed it. There was a whole movement called #neverTrump, 15 other candidates, many of whom (and their supporters) bitched nonstop about all of Trump's terrible problems, right up until he won.
The intellectual debate on the right, between Trump supporters (both full throated and reluctant) and TruCons has been vigorous. It continues to be. There are daily threads on here started by those on the right talking about how they don't like his nominee here, or don't like his rollout of such and such, or don't think he should be on twitter, and on and on and on.
frick off.

And yet no one mentioned those words until you did. Interesting.

I am critical of of Trump of the following:
1.) The refugee EO. He should have rolled it out better, giving instructions to those enforcing it on how to handle certain situations, such as the green card holders and those who worked for the military, etc.
2.) Recent gaffes in speaking engagements at the CIA, the meeting for Black History Month, and the Prayer Breakfast.
3.) If the reports are true, how he handled the calls with world leaders, in particular the Prime Minister of Australia.
4.) Cut back on the tweets or send them through a filter first.
5.) He doesn't wear a pair of ivory handle six shooters.
He's not a polished politician. He will learn in time.

Link me to the right calling people a slew of horrible names for voting for Obama?
We had the actual Democratic Party candidate call their opponent's supporters pretty ridiculous names this election season. Not a surrogate or talking head.
I don't remember that occurring with Obama or Bush.

Generally speaking I'm starting to get tired of the reality show Presidency.
I hope once he gets his nominees in place and this first flurry of executive action down we go back to a more normal patter of Presidential appearances.
I want him to work and do the things he said he was going to do. But I'm not sure the daily gas lighting of the left is productive. I think we may need to have a detente soon to ratchet down the national anxiety.
Unfortunately I think this is just something we will have to accept about Trump.
He's highly egotistical. I mean the man can't even let go of The Apprentice. A show that he voluntarily resigned from. It's not like Arnold took his job. Yet he still can't refrain from poking Arnold on the fact that he was more popular as the host.

This board is chock full of posters who each consider themselves to be the one lone beacon of enlightenment. It's funny that way.
Good post.

He won't. He is who he is, and who he has been in public life for 3 decades.

Trump remains executive producer so he still gets some money from that. What he is really tweaked about is Arnold is costing him money by running the show into the ground.

He needs to cut back on segueing every speech to some self congratulating BS
Posted on 2/2/17 at 3:16 pm to DavidTheGnome
I'm right of center and criticize him all the time

I like how in a lot of your posts criticizing Trump, which you do more often than not, you're always sure to tell us that you voted for Trump. It's getting kind of comical actually.

Yes, many who consider themselves to be on the political right have a healthy skepticism of the president.
But just imagine wanting to have a polite conversation with someone over a disagreement while there are 1000 angry nutjobs behind you screeching, starting fires and throwing feces. Rational voices are being drowned out at the moment.
Once the marches, riots and tantrums die down and some of the smoke clears, you might see a different picture. Until that happens, many of those on the right will be having too much fun watching the fireworks to try and muster the energy to make themselves heard over the noise.

Just so you know where I stand and don't come back how my side lost and I'm being a crybaby etc.

I think Trump should be even more Trump like. That is my one criticism.

There has been plenty of criticism from the right. This whole thing is really nothing like Obama.
It's highly similar to Obama.

I know plenty of folks who wish Trump would stop tweeting and consult his aids/staff before blasting out executive orders.
Which is all the more reason why the democrats shouldn't have been stalling the confirmations of his cabinet.
