I know it's obscure, but I'm gonna go with Mads Mikkelsen's character Tristan in King Arthur.

We're led to believe he's some sort of master of swords and knives and he gets killed by some idiot just to move the plot along.

Terrible.

Idk if he qualifies as a badass in the movie but DiCaprio's characters death in the departed came to mind. Maybe Denzel in man on fire even though he did go out on his own terms

As we were to believe it at the time the movie was out, Boba Fett taking a header into the sarlac pit in ROTJ.

Future Trunks taking it in the chest in the Cell Saga as well...

Joe Pesci in Casino when they beat the shite out of him and his brother, and bury them in that cornfield still breathing.

Boba Fett

Renowned and feared bounty hunter killed in what could have qualified as a three stooges routine.

Raylan Givens getting offed by that gunslinger in the middle of the highway on the finale of Justified was pretty sad. I was so upset, I turned the episode off and never looked back.

Based on real life stories, but still, that was painful to watch.

Buscemis character in Sopranos.
I was excited when he was going back to hits, but damn, Tony, he was your cousin.

Every final big bad that fights Steven Segal. It doesn't matter how scary and hardcore they've been all movie. It doesn't matter how many people they frick up w/their bare hands. Segal always takes them apart as if he's fighting children. Half the fight is almost always Segal easily blocking the bad guy's suddenly feeble attacks.
