Russell flipping a switch and trusting his playmakers was so promising, let them make the play. Rushing game came alive with it and hopefully they found something they can build on with the OL.
Devan Thompkins looks worth the money, Terrence Green too. Walked that guard backwards, fell, yet still managed to get the sack.
Wish the coaching staff and GAs would do a better job with getting play calls in, getting the subs in, and make sure the same jersey number isn't on the same unit. These are very so easily correctable details, it's slightly infuriating:lol:
Dijon Lee, and most of the secondary, had a rough go. Lost almost every big vs big match up with Duce Robinson(who absolutely is a top 60 pick at worst), Brown did a better job.
It might've been the delays, but wish this team would have a hot start more often. It's like watching someone cold start a lawnmower...

The overhaul of the RB group has been impressive, and this is without AK Dear too. Hate Kevin Riley has been pushed to deep reserve because I think he has value, but proof has been on field.
Daniel Hill running like he looks has been a game changer, short yardage wasn't a gimme last season. Hopefully the OL comes together in front of them, because you can see how close the RBs have been to breaking several long runs...

Slow play calls, slow subs, letting two of the same number on field, yeesh.

The Rams and 49ers took entirely different approaches week one playing in Australia, and it showed.
Then you still have to come back and re-acclimate for part of the next game week vs a team who didn't fly to the UK.

I'd say it's a job well done by a coaching staff if your leaders are leading.
Very few players show up as natural leaders, it's a skill that can be honed with coaching and the opportunities afforded to them.
Seeing it enacted with autonomy is what teaching is about...

I would risk the growing pains with KR for his upside.
Might mean dropping a game, but they've made it so easy to make the playoffs now anyway.
Mack being the backup gives you a veteran system guy to turn to if something goes south or a spot start is needed.

Hard agree, OJ just was a such a prototype TE physically that the NFL was willing to overlook how stiff he was in routes.
Guy's best plays in college were ones where the defense forgot about him, because he never was a consistent threat :lol:
Cuevas seems to be the opposite, a tweener that doesn't stand out physically, but was always getting open and making tough catches.
