Amazon customers, how has the Louisiana sales tax enforcement impacted you?

11 orders in 2017.
Paid state taxes: $0.00
Man, it's going to be a bitch trying to keep up with all my purchases to self-report at the end of this calendar year.

Zero.
I still find plenty of value in the service they provide.

I haven't ordered anything off Amazon yet this year. Is it actually forcing the sales tax at the time of purchase?
I put something in my Amazon cart to see and it shows "taxes to be applied" as $0.00.
What was all the commotion about then? If it isn't forcing the sales tax at the time of purchase, then it's exactly the same as it was before

I'm with you.......more legalized theft from the state government.

Not that much. But the fact that they put "sponsored" products at the top of every search (after I already pay them a prime subscription), and that Prime no longer means 2 day shipping in many cases, is really crimping my style.
Basically everything is a little worse since they started trying to make money. Everyone should try to do some price shopping on Ebay. You will quickly find that the shipping is obviously priced into every Prime product now. They are no longer matching prices AND giving Prime shipping. If Ebay would really push their Fast N Free listings, incentivising companies to get set up for Fast N Free, and offer Fast N Free only searching, they would instantly have a Prime competitor.

its only on items that are sold and fulfilled by amazon. if you buy something from a 3rd party vendor via amazon you are not charged tax

I made a large order on Dec. 29th... but I will of course self report all owed sales taxes.

I am fine with paying the sales tax if we can start getting all of the cool stuff that the do in other parts of the country.
I know that it won't happen but I would love for them to roll out the Treasure Truck.
My brother lives in Seattle and he said that right before Christmas they had a rib roast on the truck. He got a NES Classic in November.

Paid about $35 in sales tax on Amazon since the first of the year (Wife still redecorating the house post-flood). My shopping habits probably won't change, although I may be more inclined to find third-party sellers and not worry quite as much if an item isn't shipped from Amazon.

Ordered something yesterday. No tax.

Got me for $0.68 so far on a $70ish order that was 3 items. 2 of the 3 had no tax charge.

I just wish I could get away from Terrebonne Parish where the sales tax is 10 and a half percent

Not at all. I like the convenience of having the stuff delivered as opposed to driving around BR.
