With Texas A&M and Arkansas losing it seems to confirm what we already knew. He beat really shitty teams, lost to a mediocre team, and didn't score a point against the best team.

Keep in mind this will be O's least talented LSU team.

I thought some of the logic of firing Les midseason meant he could not win those later games they should win and get renewed again?

Didn't hiring an interim coach and not saying he was not a candidate put the admins in the same spot?

well, don't fault him for winning his games that were on his schedule. Better than if he lost those games.

Not defending O here, but he can't control the level of shittiness of the opponents on the schedule. Sure we lost to Bama, but even with the shutout, we played them better than any team this season. There was also no letdown against Arkansas to follow up the Bama game. We stomped the shite out of all the teams we beat.

At this point, you can't bash O until he gives us a full season. It's not his fault our Administration made the decision to hire him. He immediately canned BDP and retained Arranda. He went out and got a great OC and has, to this point, kept the recruiting class in the top 5 with the possibility to finish top 3.

I'll take a wait and see approach to next season.

We'll just have to see how it plays out. He did a great job retaining Aranda, and hired what appears to be a great OC. I'm not saying I wanted O hired, but it is what it is, and he's the coach now.

So, based on those astute observational skills, what do you recommend?

Wait, are we still arguing for or against a hire that was made? This is so fricking dumb.

I guess that means that Bama ain't so hot either. SEC is still #1. Can't judge the SEC by their bowl record.

Losing to Fla isn't on O. Player execution lost that game. Guice runs the wrong way on the last play. Screwing up on attempted fg's. 2016 will go down as the year of what should have been with all the returning starters. However Miles botched that game one and poof just like that the season was over in regards to playoffs.

For those who say Miles would have beaten A&M and Arkansas that may be true but he would have made the games much closer than they needed to be. See Miss st. Chalk up 2016 as the "change needed to happen" year.

By that reasoning, so is Saban's.

His wins as IHC always looked unimpressive to anyone that bothered to look. At UCS and LSU he has a grand total of 1 quality win.

It was nice when this board wasn't the insecure LSU fan board for a few weeks.
