Really? I thought those would be helpful, if anything.

Me too. I was reading about blue zones the other day--like 7 places in the world where the author of the book found the most people over 100 per capita. They all had a few things in common, one was a lot of lentils in their diet.

The scientific evidence for the incredible benefit of statins is well documented in the medical literature, even in those without vascular disease and few or no risk factors

This report disagrees with you.

I'm 6'/208. 38 years old. I'm about 20 pounds above my fighting weight, but you wouldn't say I'm overweight.

Unless that's all muscle, I'd say you are overweight.

What's that?

And yeah, I'm technically overweight, but nobody would call me fat. Though that may be due to my affinity for wearing corsets.

A few years ago my doctor gave me a list of foods that help lower cholesterol. Only one I can remember is walnuts, so switch your pistachios to walnuts.

I link peer reviewed literature and you link an opinion piece by a known quack.

I don't think I need to address this further

Flax seeds on everything. Grind them and add them to every meal.
