I was just there today, it amazes me how quick and efficient they are. Every one I see is packed 24/7.

There were 18 people in line in front of me yesterday at the one in terminal A in Atlanta. I had my food within 6 minutes from getting in the line.

I noticed this many moons ago at our local, which is not very interesting.

Lately though, I've noticed an interesting trend. Workforce will be totally pasty, then one day will show significant diversity. A month later, pasty again. Then diverse. Rinse and repeat.

My theory is that they are hiring diversely but unlike every other fast food chain known to man, they don't put up with the shite that creates some stereotypes and kick them out, or they quit when a place like CFA actually makes them work and treat customers decently.

There are some Reddit post that explain the process. The "owner" of each location is called the operator, and doesn't actually own the place. CFA does. They just let him operate it and keep a share of the profit. Very strict requirements. You have to start at the bottom and work up. Reddit was saying an average of 10 years before you even get a chance to apply for one. If rewarded, it is a 5 grand fee, and they handle the rest.

Nah. Mostly in Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia. Here in Georgia, McDonalds workers are far superior to Burger King and Wendy's IMO. Never get an order wrong. Courteous for the most part. Chick-Fil-A is on another level, but if all else fails I'm going to Mick Dicks over Wendy's and Burger King just because of their customer service here.

Hire for attitude, Train for the skill

Most people get fired for conduct and not skill

What's more amazing is that Chick-fil-a makes more money per franchise than anyone. McDonalds is #2, and Chick-fil-a pulls in 25% more revenue despite being closed a day a week.

Just popping in to rave about just how awesome Chick Fil A really is. I constantly recommend and gush over how awesome this place is. It's one of the best things about America. and I mean that.

Chick Fil A is the best.

Chic Fil A does it right. Most FF owners own multiple restaurants and just want to churn a profit. The Chic Fil A owner-operators usually operate just 1 restaurant, are required to spend a certain amount of time in the restaurant, work hands on with employees, and be involved in community functions. If they don't meet these requirements or the customer satisfaction drops, the can lose their franchise. Because of this, they hire good people and have a culture that shitty employee's avoid.

They don't like absentee owners either. The max number of franchises that someone can own is 2.

Yeah. I was in the drive-thru one day and the guy in the window was a little older than me and had on an Aggie class ring. I thought, "oh well, at least he's working." Some time later a guy who I think was him posted on our board that he had made it through the process and was opening a new location. The new location is, of course, packed like crazy every day.

When they move customers through as quickly and efficiently as CFA does, I guess it makes sense that they could do more sales than some of the slow-arse standard fast food chains.

The one by me is mostly black workers but still a very high quality of worker. I think they do a good job in the interview process.

Cane's is similar.

Damn. You were standing right next to Varasano's Pizzeria, which has some of the best pizza in the country right there in the airport. They get the pie out fast too.

Reviews often note how they can't believe the line for chicken sandwiches when people could be eating world class pizza.

Does anyone know if Chick Fil A pays their employees more? When I was in college I took a sports marketing class and I had to do a project that involved picking a company that sponsors sports related events.. I picked Chick-fil-a. I was able to interview their head of marketing and he went into detail about how important customer service is to the company and they are able to incorporate it into their marketing, etc so I know that when they have to hire someone, they just don't hire the last person who applied for a job..

And he also explained that because it is so important to the company, it has to be a two way street so they provide an environment in which their employees will take pride in their job.. He didn't go into detail on this.

I went to a fairly new Chick-Fil-A a month ago. I had 35 minutes to get to work with a 20 minute drive. I was 4 minutes late because I got stuck in their drive thru. They have a curb and shrubs that prevent you from getting out of the drive thru. I got up to the window and a bunch of people were standing around with 2 people working the drive thru. Only one customer was inside.
