Pedro at his best is unlike anything I've ever seen and that is even more special cause of all the juicing going on at the time

Peak Pedro is very likely the best pitcher to ever exist.

I always loved watching Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux.

In person? Kevin Brown as a Ranger and later as a Marlin has thrown the best games I've ever seen in person.
In my lifetime? Pedro or Mariano. Both were untouchable when they were on, which was far more often than not.

Greg Maddux for me, his placement was an art form.

Pedro Martinez by a mile. The man was not human.

Pedro from 99-03...not even close.

Peak Pedro. I saw him pitch multiple times live, and I'll tell my grandkids about it.

I hate to say this but young Doc Gooden was pretty damn good.

I think he was the best pure location pitcher i've ever seen. Beautiful to watch him work hitters throwing in the upper 80's with his velocity.
Power pitching is pretty awesome too and we've seen some great ones in the last 30 years... Clemens, Pedro, & Johnson are my favorites here.

The first baseball game I ever watched in person was Nolan Ryan's 299th win. I was 7. Ever since that day, he is my answer to this question.
Also saw he and Clemens square off in 92. Heaaaaters, Ricky.

Randy Johnson when sitting behind home plate
No idea how hitters were not scared shitless when facing him especially lefties

There can only be one answer: Pedro. Maybe Randy Johnson, but... nope. Pedro. He was insanely great.
