very minimal so far. however, you can't predict that in the day(s) prior to the storm. that's for sure.

I'm in Coral Gables, and I got a slight drizzle. If Gainesville got affected I'd be shocked.

I live in Gainesville. I am a Professor at UF (36 years) but twice an LSU grad.

We have a bit of a breeze right now (Friday at 1:23 EST). No rain at the moment. I just picked up a couple limbs in my yard. I'll probably have a small mess later. Should be partly cloudy tomorrow and little wind. Essentially, very little impact. Some power outages, but Clay Electric is notorious for that. Many evacuees are in town because they wisely left the coast. Luckily, most of the coast is being spared.

I believe it was a gross over-reaction to cancel classes at 3:00 p.m. yesterday: they told us Wednesday at 4:30 that Thursday was a go. The entire campus is closed until Monday: I'm not supposed to even go to my office, which is beyond ridiculous. Students see it as party-time.

IMO, the UF team is very banged up and they decided to use this as an excuse not to play LSU now, hoping they could trap us into a much worse time for LSU.

I'd say I'm embarrassed to be a gator, but I've NEVER been a gator fan. Geaux Tigers.

Yes. Police, State Troopers, fire fighters and EMT crews were all dispatched to the coast to deal with the hurricane aftermath.

Apparently not greatly affected, being on the west side of the storm. Know who else was not greatly affected, that would have gladly hosted the LSU/Fla game? 46 other states
