Fairly lucrative job. Wife owned her own clinic until last year when she sold it. Was hiring worthless G.A (Generation Attitude) right out of school in the high 50's.

I thought PTs started in the 80s? Maybe that's mid-career?

Really depends on the type of practice. Hospital and pediatrics will be lowest paid. Outpaitent will be middle of the road. Home health and skilled nursing will be highest...and in that 80's range or higher.

I thought ULM had a really good PT program, but you had to go to New Orleans for a semester due to cadavers. Maybe that was OT?

Gf is in the program in NOLA. She said Shreveport is a nicer facility.
Supposedly both programs are very stout.

Emory is good, but $$$$. I'll be sending those bastards a check for the next 20 years. You get what you pay for though. Duke was good back in the early 2000's, but not so sure about now. UTMB is in Galveston. I've heard good things and know a few grads.

Nola and Shreveport are both good. But simply don't have the space to accommodate the need in the state. So you'll see a good bit of La residents go to some of the private programs out of state.
