It's either the SBE II if you are a Benelli homer or a Beretta A400 if you lean that way. I like my Super Vinci and it gets an honerable mention but it's ugly as frick and usually stays at home in favor of my Beretta.

I have an SBE2 and a Super Vinci. I love both dearly but the Super Vinci is just such an awesome gun FOR ME. It fits me almost perfectly. If it wasn't so long my son (he's 10) would shoot it. The felt recoil is absolutely minimal. His Franchi infinity compact kicks way harder. That is honestly the truth.

I would not say that these are better than an A400 or the A5 they are just better for me.

But they are all 100% better than a currently manufactured 870.

Love my SX3. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Never had an issue. All it does is shoot!

Fwiw my father and i are both lefties so our only option is benelli. My dad bought a SBE in the first few years of production 18 years ago. When I was old enough to start hunting he bought an SBE2 and handed the older to me. That gun has been hunted hard for 18 years and there isn't a spot of rust and runs flawlessly. Only thing we have done is change out the springs twice as Maintenence.

I got an Extrema 2 nine years ago and it has never jammed. Never gave me any problems. A400 are just as good from what I hear. My dad swears by his SBE2. He had to have it sent off twice when he first got it for problems but since has been fine. I like a longer stock he likes the shorter stock. My beretta kicks much less as well. Both will perform equally, just pick up both and see which one you like. I have heard great things about the Winchester SX3. I'd hold all 3 and go with which one is most comfortable for you. You wont be disappointed with any.

sure hope that the Fabarms waterfowl is made better than their Sporting Clay gun. Sporting clay gun was always breaking.

All depends on what gun fits you. Sometimes you can shoot a M2 and not a A400, or a SX3 may fit you better. Try to shoot them all and see what you can naturally hit more targets with.

I shot an over and under at ducks for years and don't think they stack up. Unless you are hunting a big comfy blinds with lots of hunters where that 3rd shell doesn't matter. I also would not get hung up on the 3.5" gun unless you are a big goose hunter.

Just curious, what issues were you having with it? I am a big fan of Beretta and I shoot them exclusively but have recently had some frustrating experiences dealing with their customer service.

Supposedly the customer service of Fabarms backed by Caesar Guerini is head and shoulders better then Beretta's customer service. Of course I would prefer a gun that works flawlessly but a manufacturer that stands behind their product and provides good customer service means a lot.

I have a Beretta AL391 that has had thousands and thousands of rounds down the tube and has never malfunctioned. I recently bought an A400 Unico and it has performed flawlessly. Also have a 682 Gold E and have never had a problem with it either. In other words just get a Beretta and don't worry about anything else.

SBEII. The Anniversary edition was just released, and I'm planning on picking it up. Bigger bolt release and charging handle, longer front sight, 3 extended choke tubes, 2 flush.
