Exactly. If Patrick goes above and beyond the bare minimum that he is required to do, I doubt this happens. I think most would agree.
However, like you said, he doesn't have to do anything more than he did. He may not have been as cordial as some in this thread would like him to be, but I don't believe he crossed the threshold of non-compliance, certainly not before the police escalated the situation significantly.
It sucks to be a cop - they're job is relatively dangerous for relatively shitty pay - but it doesn't excuse piss poor performance and errors. People would have SIGNIFICANTLY more respect for LEOs if they had the wherewithal to come out and criticize those in their "brotherhood" when they screw up.

Either you haven't payed close attention to the video, saw what you wanted to see, are dumb as a rock, or all of the above.
Your post is just babbling and not providing anything competent that makes any sense at all.
Better luck next time.

Pure ignorance, you can't evade a cop and retreat in your vehicle

you cant harass a law abiding citizen either. They asked his name, he gave it. They didnt ask for his ID, and God knows if he had reached for it they would have assumed gun and shot him anyway. Kid was in a no win situation, same as a lot of people lately. frick over zealous cops that dont give a frick about the rights of the public. They give the good ones a bad name and make the rest of us all fear for our lives because that kid EASILY could have ended up dead if they had gone full retard like some other cases recently.

why would he read the rest of the sentence when he can pick and choose words to make you seem wrong and further his wrong opinion

If police brutality is based in institutional racism why don't we also see more videos of cops beating Asians and Hispanics?
Posted on 7/16/16 at 12:26 pm to supatigah
I dunno about hispanics but my peeps are generally less confrontational, for the most part anyway.
that'll change in the next 20-30 years as the first gen folks fade out and we are much more assimilated into american culture.

he seemed like he was surprised and confused that someone is coming to arrest him. For good reason, since there was no reason as he did not have a warrant. Cops fricked up, they lied multiple times on camera, hell he didnt even know how many times he "asked for his id" he said twice it was 3 times and then later he said it was 4... when it was ACTUALLY ZERO.
frick that shite man. I fully believe in the play stupid games get stupid prizes thing, but this was bullshite.
Posted on 7/16/16 at 12:53 pm to ThaKaptin
there was a surprise factor for Patrick initially, they asked him his name and he didn't respond but then they asked him his name again and "uhhhhhhhPatrick?" wasn't a good move on his part.
Patrick was so surprised by the cops he can't say his own name convincingly? Hell when I watched it the first time I thought he was hiding something and refusing to identify himself.
They tell him to get out of the car repeatedly and he refuses? He tells them to "call his people" but they still don't know who he is. They tell him they are going to tase him if he doesn't comply and he tries to shut the door on them?
Serious question, Is Patrick mildly retarded? He sure comes across as stoned, country dumb or mildly retarded. The cops in hindsight over reacted and certainly misrepresented/lied about the whole name vs ID part of this. But damn Patrick you are one dumb MFer
Posted on 7/16/16 at 12:58 pm to VerlanderBEAST
He could have just gotten out of the car and complied with them, they would have figured out that he was the wrong guy in like 2 minutes or less.

No wonder inept, power-hungry cops have carte blanche to do whatever the hell they want. The knuckle dragging masses made up of people like you allow them to. Pathetic.

Serious answer- who cares?
That this officer may in the future be dealing with someone that is mentally disabled somehow is just another example of a reason he should not be on the streets currently.

I initially laughed at your reply to me. My posts on this have been even handed and fair across the board and you attempting to lump me in with the rest of the pro-cop horde is comical. There is plenty of blame to be shared by both sides of this situation if you just open your eyes.
What a conundrum for you if you ever face a crisis situation where you need to call police for help
Call them and face your own hypocrisy?
Don't call them and face the crisis yourself?
What to do, what to do?

If they hauled me off to jail what would be the charge? Sitting in my yard and peacefully complying with law enforcement?

But the cops who are trained to be were even worse.

That is a good question, I guess when he tried to close the car door they could try to say a lot of things about that but it would never stick.
What a shite show.
What a shite show.
