I know this is only marked down 5 bucks but what's the OB say about this little rifle? Thoughts?
I'm feeling the need to buy a gun or two so I have been researching but would appreciate any help.

Marlin makes a good rifle. I have an old 22 and a 336.

Some claim they shoot better than ruger 1022. Only downside to sales is tube fed vs Rugers better magazine feed.
Buy one

dad, 2 brothers and I each had a marlin 60 in 22LR, their rifles were deadly accurate, I couldn't keep the shots in a tennis ball sized target with mine, 3 outa 4 ain't bad, never could figure out what was wrong with mine, sold it cheap quickly out of frustration...

I like the tube feed.

Marlin has always made excellent .22's
Mine is an older model (in .22 WMR) --it's one of the most accurate rifles I own.

I consider that a plus, not a downside. No mag to lose, and it is easier to reload. I have an older Model 60 that's very dependable and more accurate out of the box than my Ruger 10/22.
Just my .02.

Model 60 is only $140? Marlin 60 is a damned fine 22LR rifle. I have a really old tube fed Remmington. I don't know why people shy away from a tube fed semi autos but they are pretty great in practice.

My first .22
An excellent little rifle.
Sight it in for 75 yards instead of 50.

Marlin 60 22LR was my first firearm purchase with my own hard earned money as a kid. Paid about $80 in 1986. It's still reliable and in excellent condition.

I don't have a Marlin semi-auto, but most of the folks I know who have them really like them. As far as tube fed 22's, I don't have a problem w/ them. In fact, tube fed has one advantage over rotary mag guns if one's shooting rounds that have a shorter over all length than the usual 22LR. The rotary mags in my 10/22's and 77/22 will NOT feed 22 shorts, longs, etc, but they usually WILL feed in a tube fed gun (except in a semi-auto as the round may not produce enough energy to cycle the action).
