So Olympic lifting makes you a muscle head.... Should probably take it out the Olympics and worlds I guess

But you culters don't do it right. Injuries in the making.
You culters are not Olympic athletes in the least. Think you are though, but you are not.

I have never stepped foot in a CF gym. But you are orders of magnitude worse. Its creepy the way you are going about this. Its like you have a term and a mantra and are just all worked up about it. Chill the frick out.

Dave Castro announced they will be doing "Murph" once again this year. This WOD knocked out several athletes last year and left most exhausted through the remaining wods.
I know everyone has that one workout they're good at, but it boggles my mind how much Murph kills people. It's in no way shape or form easy for me, but I destroy it compared to most people.
I can't do 99% of the workouts those dudes do simply because I don't have the brute strength from a barrier of entry standpoint, but high rep bodyweight (plus the vest) exercises are my jam.

The only hard part of this workout is the running.

IF you think you can lift like an olympian, you are the troll.

The CF'ers on my FB last year were complaining because the Muscle Up was included. It's obvious that not a lot of people can do muscle ups, but if you're looking for the best, then the muscle up is a good thing to have.

Give it a try then Sabi and let us know your time. There is a 1 hour time cap by the way.
Posted on 7/5/16 at 10:36 am to FootballNostradamus
What's your best time on it? Do you typically partition the wod and how so?
Posted on 7/5/16 at 10:37 am to Shepherd88
I did Murph on Memorial Day, but didn't wear the vest.

200 pushups? What does that take, 2 minutes? 100 pullups? 5 sets of 20 or 10 sets of 10? Maybe 45 seconds between each set? 300 bodyweight squats? lol One mile run bookends? Not exactly tough.
Now, if this is thrown in the middle of other heats and workouts, then yeah that's pretty tough. But, if you think that kind of workout, in under an hour, is intimidating to me, then I really can't help but laugh.

damn u are the true beast of beasts, sabi

Cool, let us know how you do then! Btw typically you can partition it just as you mentioned but if you wanna do it as they are in the games then you must complete pull-ups before moving to push-ups etc.. Obviously it makes it more difficult but I guarantee you either way you do it you won't come back here saying that was easy.

There are benefits of being a 150 lb dude
Posted on 7/5/16 at 10:47 am to SabiDojo
You can do 200 push-ups in 2 minutes with a 20 lb vest on?
Posted on 7/5/16 at 10:50 am to Lester Earl
This thread is full of funnies.

I watched the film on Netflix last night about the games last year. The head guy noted that Murph isn't that bad of a workout...in the gym...but when you throw it in the middle of the games, against the best in the world, it's different. People were being dragged into deep water with the elite of the elite. They went way too fast, and thus almost died. A lot of the top people didn't complain, they just said it was abnormally hot that day.
