You can do 200 push-ups in 2 minutes with a 20 lb vest on?

Didn't see the vest. That changes things slightly, but not much, and certainly not to where I'm worried about finishing in under an hour. All my pullup routines are either with my 20 pound vest or 25+ plates anyways, and 100 is around the norm for me. Doing that routine in under an hour wouldn't be a problem.

Like Sandberg said, I'm not exactly a huge guy. I weigh around 168, and I may not be snatching 300 pounds, but I can sure as hell knock out bodyweight exercises like a champ.

Now, like I said earlier, doing that routine in between other heats or routines definitely makes it tough. But, if this is the Crossfit Games, finding the best of the best (I've met lots of CF guys, and they are pretty legit), then I would expect most of those beasts to do it.

The head guy noted that Murph isn't that bad of a workout...in the gym...but when you throw it in the middle of the games, against the best in the world, it's different

Yeah, and I conceded that. Definitely makes it tougher. When I made that statement, I didn't realize it was between heats and stuff. I assumed it was Day 1 or something.

Seems like you have no idea what your talking about since they had a sprint/hurdle event last year.

Btw how many sprinters do you think could pick up 300lbs over their head?

I imagine there aren't too many Crossfitters doing this either. And world-class sprinters generally have some of strongest mass-strength ratios of any athletes.

I think it was the first event on Friday and they started on Wednesday. It was event 5-6 I believe.

I'm going to a competition to watch a couple of people I know on July 15 (?, can't remember). I don't know if it's the CF Games, but it's a competition they are holding at their Box.

Sabi I'm seriously holding my breath here to know how you do on this.

My time was 34:33 without a vest and partitioned.

Not one crossculter could polevault 10' at all. They have no clue. But their fatass founder is god, so....

20lb vest, in the middle of tiger stadium in July. Not in some a/c'd planet fitness. Not that you aren't good at pullups or push ups or running individually but it's a different ball game strung together.

I'm not one to just say someone can't do it because I don't know you but it is certainly harder than you think, as I've seen what good athletes can do it in(not CF games athletes, just top guys at my gym).

Sure, Rickety. I'm not a coach nor do I compete but I'll do what I can to help the board.

I don't hate crossfit, but what do you mean by "exercising in functional ways"?

Functional for what?

Conditions matter. Why they do that outside is a mystery to me. Sounds too dangerous if you're in the Southeast US.

What do you squat? By the time the squats come around in the workout it is ruining guys with 450lb+ back squats

I'm not a crossfit fan boy but I won't say that. I know some of the top guys/ladies have some legit T&F experience. That said, I would imagine every national level decathlete or heptathlete would wreck crossfit if they ever really trained for it.

I don't know about polevaulting, but I love watching Men's Gymnastics and lots of those guys do Crossfit. And you won't find stronger guys on the planet. Male gymnasts are the peak of fitness, imo.
