I love taking my boat to a bar. The older and more remote the better. Those places in the middle of nowhere that you can tie up, get out of the sun and drink some cold beer and enjoy some music. Maybe even fill up on crawfish or crabs.
I enjoy the Black Lake Club, the Blind River Bar (loved it more 10 years ago), Manny's, Sun Buns, Prop Stop, Tiki Hut... just a few in the Amite River/Maurepas area.
Wondering about everyone else favorites. I know there are some jewels scattered throughout Louisiana. I'd love to do some exploring. Is there a place y'all like to go before.... during..... or after a fishing trip?

Lighthouse Grill in Uncertain, Texas has some fond memories for me. Trashy frickin' place, but used to love getting drunk down there on the bayou and heading up there to shoot pool with the locals.
Also, on a trip to Maine, I stopped in at some local dives there. Specifically in Bath, Maine. The big businesses there are fishing, lobster, and working at the Bath Iron Works, a subsidiary of General Dynamics that builds awesome ships for the navy. It is like a West Virginia coal town in that everyone leaves after work to go to the local dives. Stopped in on my trip and drank with locals and cussed up a storm. They have the rented beer steins there that have the patrons name on it and I fricking loved it.
Edit: I am sorry I don't know many local watering holes in Louisiana.

If I'm on False River I'll stop by the sand bar and have lunch and a beer or two.

I deckhanded for 5 summers on a Hatteras 60 and spent tons of time in fishing bars all over the Gulf Coast from Port A, texas to Destin, Fl.
By far the best place to have the boat docked is...Was...AJ's

Alright, I'm gonna need some help here. There was/still may be a lake bar on Old River (North of Morganza, South of Simmesport) that was a real shite hole, but had a ton of character. Went there the night before Katrina hit, then went back one year for the 4th of July. A college kid walking in there with a group of Chi O's from LSU made the record stop every time. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name. Knowing the OB, I am sure you all will produce the name of this place in no time. Hell, one of you may own it.
