At our camp in dulac, and decided to stay back with the ladies. Question is.. Do I sell him on the black market now, or wait it out?

Buy him a tu-tu and shame the shite out of him. He'll go next time....

And begin the process of hating you for the rest of his life.

question-

Is one of the "ladies" another girl his age or close?

Also, don't sweat it. He'll be bored and when you come back with a stringer of fish, he'll wish he'd come with you.

People throw dogs in the water when they don't want to swim. Only logical thing is to tie a pole to your kid and ratchet strap him to the boat

For what's it worth, I hated fishing as a kid. It was boring to me. I just started picking it up at 29. I dunno why, but I love it now.

He probably looked at the forecast and tides and made the wise choice.

I guess he's just gonna test the 'I'll always love you no matter what' line

They don't actually believe that do they?

When I was about 8 years old, I passed up a fishing trip to stay with a girl cousin I was in love with. All the guys came back from a totally wonderful trip. I never missed another trip I could go on! Looking at all those bass and sacral air, I was dying.

Might be a particular one he likes. I was kissing girls and playing doctor at five. Don't block a player.

My buddy has a 12 year old who he's pushing to fish with us and the kid just plains hates fishing.
He can see that.
At 10 me and my brother used to fish every day we could. At 12 we'd spend nearly everyday of the summer and weekends at my grandfathers private pond.
You can't force it. Either he will become a fisherman or he won't.

I think it runs in cycles. Mine is 11, sometimes hunting and fishing is all he wants to do, other times he acts like he couldn't give two shits about it. Just keep offering and he'll come around.

Don't worry too much, I was hit or miss fishing at his age when my dad wanted me to go. Some button was pushed when I was 13 and I fished with him an insane amount the rest of his life.

I always loved going fishing with the old man to old River in the 1970's LA traveler with 50 hp Mercury. That was the thing back then.
We use to fish, then jump off the rafts to swim, and catch fish in the morning or evening.
Then they had worm pouring parties the night before and I would get to get a sip of my dads Miller ponies. Wouldn't miss that for anything.

One day I was in the boat and dad dropped me off to get something to drink at the camp at Old River.
I accidentally poured powered milk into my glass and I couldn't go back fishing until I drank that junk.
That almost ruined the experience.

Still miss the guy that blocked to road to the camp with his wheel chair until you gave him a beer.
Bob Scarce was still full of the juice and made his rounds to the group get togethers at Old River.
He could talk some stuff.

My dad and I grew up fishing every chance we got, we are both nuts about it. we have a camp on a lake so we can go when possible.

I have a 9 yr old son who doesn't give 2 shits about it, breaks my dang heart.
