I've watched several of spring practice videos from years past but something feels different about this years team and I'm starting to like it

Coaches and media reporting how good the passing game looks and how the QB has progressed.

Retard fans on the rant getting their hopes up.

Me sitting back not buying a thing for the umpteenth time

Same retard fans losing their shite in the game thread in September wondering why things haven't changed.

Feels the same to me

Everything is the same. The passing game is improving, some freshman looks like an all American already, some unknown is having a great camp....am I missing something? The difference is that this team will have a lot of experienced talent. It does seem that the imminent dismissal of Miles has caused him to pull out all the stops.....got a ton of guys to come back, got Aranda and still working on getting Gordon a 6th year.

Stop it. There is not going to be anything special about this season. New year. Same old shite. Minimum 2 losses and not winning the west.

I learned this lesson after Les proclaimed that the 2008 offensive line was the best he'd ever coached.

I decided after last season to never allow Les and LSU football to get me that upset again. We've seen the same shite over and over again so many times that I'm numb. It makes no sense so expect anything different.

That said, it would be cool to be pleasantly surprised, but my expectations are zero. I'll always love LSU, but I have no faith in Les or this administration.

Damn guys. If every single post isn't depressing. I can't wait. Since 1967 I've been here. I can tell about bad times. We couldn't complain because there was no internet. This is great. Brandon Harris was a first year starter. He will be great this year. Everywhere else we're loaded. He will surprise you all. I can't wait. We will beat Bama this year. I can feel it. This is our year.

It doesn't matter if our offense is any different...

It looks like the defense is shifting from the bend and not break philosophy back to an aggressive attacking style that we have thrived under in the past. If the other team has a hard time getting to ten first downs in a game then we can actually pound some teams into submission. This doesn't happen when the other teams defense gets rested because their offense has a ten play drive.

It is different. This time Les will get fired and stay fired.

I agree DocBugbear, the defense has let us down recently. Miles strategy of pound their defense, hold their O and force TOs has been missing. A good defense will allow our QB to relax and maintain a flow, rather than be forced into trying to win the game with his arm.

I'm holding reservation until mid-season. We were 7-0 and ranked #2 in the nation last year and wound up in the Texas Bowl. I'm not doing that to myself again until I see definitive proof that this year will be different.

I am, however, giddy with excitement about Aranda and the defense... I cannot wait to see his product and I think he might just be able to overcome our inept offense.

Defense will suffer growing pains with the new defensive coordinator hailed here as God like. D improved slightly but not some unbreakable beast. Moments of greatness punctuated by periodic big gainers by the opponents offense.

Passing game will be improved a bit because BH not being as horrible but not because of some great improvement on his part. Some improvement, yes. But biggest improvement in his play will be because he will be healthy.

Play calling will be slightly improved. Combine slight improvement in BH, slight improvement in BH's health and slightly improved play calling and the offense should be measurably improved.

So you honestly think his play last year was horrible? Serious question.

And you also don't think a year of maturity and experience playing in the toughest league in college football will help his improvement?

I've had a belly full of this notion that BH was so awful last year. He was solid. And WELL above what AJ was the year prior.
