I have heard this before.
Arkansas Week this past season was "different," too. Guess it kinda was, at least we scored this time.

Are we still in the golden era of tiger athletics?

We are in football. What most posters dont realize is that the last 5 years have a better win/ loss record tha Saban's tenure and we finished top 20 4 of those 5 years. Top 15 3 times.

The only thing that will convince me that Miles has decided to change his offensive philosophy is if we see the team working on the passing game against the early non conference "easier" opponents.

You act like we didnt do this last year against cupcakes

Thanks for posting this. I now know that I can ignore all your future posts about cfb.
You work on timing and rhythm during practice.

They tried working on the passing game ONCE against a lesser opponent and it didn't work well. Obviously, that approach is is totally wrongheaded and can never work. Gotcha.

We tried throwing the ball against every cupcake but once it was apparent that we couldnt execute, we went to bread and butter.

This is exactly right! Most of these complainers don't realize the good coaches will not run stuff in a game that won't work in practice.

Our problem with passing is not that we didn't do it enough in games, but that we didn't execute it well enough in practice. Now, it's legitimate to complain about why we sucked, but not about why didn't we rely on the stuff we suck at rather than what we're good at.

I've watched several of spring practice videos from years past but something feels different about this years team and I'm starting to like it

It's all up to CLM.

What's different in a good way are at least 2 positives: 1) the most intelligent defensive coordinator in LSU history probably
2) some good current and pertinent input on offense with the hire of Craig as WR...the fact that Cam is open to his knowledge about SEC football is wise on his part

I'm an LSU fan and I approve this message.

Hopefully optimistic but remaining realistic.
