Super Bowl Party Food Ideas! Simple and Easy!
Posted on 2/2/16 at 8:16 am

Let me here some ideas.
Currently just looking to relax and not do too much due to the parades passing on Sunday in our town, and being near the parade route. So looking to just make it an all day affair, but if I can be creative and put together something simple I may try and knock this out.
Not looking to have anything big or extravagant go down. No need for that. This is the Super Bowl! I want to enjoy and relax!

This was discussed, but the prep time and clean up doesn't really bold well for the SB...just doesn't fit right for us.

Hard to be more relaxing then ordering pizza or fried chicken. If you want minimal effort, make some crockpot dips. Buffalo chicken dip FTW!

I've posted these here a few times, but I just think they're so good. And all they have to do is sit in a crock pot.

Get a decent size Boston butt. Render off some of the fat. Rub it down with Stubbs mopping sauce and Stubbs BBQ spice blend.
Stick it in the crock pot and pour half a can of Coke 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Set the crock pot on low for 6 to 7 hours.
Take the butt out and shred or chop. Drain the liquid in the crock pot. Set the shredded meat back into the crockpot and pour a generous amount of Stubbs mopping sauce over the meat and mix well. Keep it in there for another 45 minutes or so.
Make some cole slaw (or buy it). Put a little apple cider vinegar in the slaw as well for a tangy taste. Serve on potato bun sliders or Hawaiin rolls.

There are lots of possibilities in the recipe book in the thread at the top of the page.
I've made this soppressata and cheese in puffed pastry several times. It's easy easy and can be made ahead and put in the fridge. Next time I make it, I may crisp up the salami a bit before putting it together to see how that works. You can use whatever type salami you prefer, ham etc... if you like.

According to another thread, it's in the recipe book, but I c&p this:
Crawfish Dip Recipe....Tis the Season
1 lb good crawfish tails with fat
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 Tbs garlic, minced
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup (FTH)
1 stick unsalted butter
1 bunch green onions, minced
Salt, red and black pepper to taste
1 or 2 T of water
Procedure
1 Over medium heat, melt the butter and cream cheese together, adding the garlic and green onions and whisking until smooth...a few minutes. Add the soup, crawfish, and I like to take a T or two of water and wash the fat from my crawfish package into the dish. Whisk until smooth. Season to taste...I usually add Tony's until the salt is correct then add red pepper to taste.
2 Serve in a chafing dish with either mini pastry shell, Scoops or toast points. Damn good.

I think Plantation's crawfish cardinale recipe is in the recipe book and it's easy and dynamite on French bread toasties or it can be served in puffed pastry shells.
