This was announced a long time ago. Have they started back on the building yet? It had been framed for 6 months and they stopped work on it. All the wood is water damaged now. It was still like this a few weeks ago I know. I just figured they ran out of money and realized it was an awful idea and location.

It's good for what it is. Significantly better than Whataburger but not quite as good as Mooyah.

Well whoever the contractor is he must have been low bidder on the pyramids as well. I could have had that disposable architecture done in 90 days tops.

They were out there working on it this past weekend when I drove by, and yesterday when I drove by they were out there too

Once it's up I think I'm going to do a blind taste test of all the places in the area to see which one I like best.

I-10 corridor + wide local road with available real estate = lots of chains.

A few years ago I counted 38 chain places between Perkins and Airline on Seigen, I bet its close to 50 now. The local joints in the area seem to do well, Riverside Patty, PoBoy Express, La Tiendita, TJ Ribs, Zoroona, etc.

They are opening one here in Lafayette. There will be a sonic, ground pati, mcdonalds burger king, wendys, 5 guys and a smashburger all within less than a quarter of a mile from each other.

We go to the one here in Katy all the time. Good burgers and hot dogs. Custard is great as well. If I still lived in Lafayette though, we would be hitting up Judice Inn everytime. Love that place!

I may be in the minority, but I like Riverside Patty. Went this past Saturday, as a matter of fact.

But seriously, isnt this exactly what Mooyahs is?

They didn't use the ridiculous term "steakburger." That and natural cut piss me off.

What about natural cut pisses you off? Seems pretty harmless to me

It's a misleading term meant to capitalize on stupid people's perception that they are somehow different or healthy. It is one of those terms that is meaningless but people don't realize it. I don't like deception like that.

That isn't what natural cut means. It means the machine leaves some of the skin of the potato on some parts.

No, you are not in the minority. In this world of sanitized fast food chains, Riverside Patty is cool, gritty and delicious.

No fries, no care.

I am looking forward to having frozen custard in BR, though. I need more concretes in my life.
