Thanks to solid advice on the poli board, I put everything into gold in 2015. I haven't checked yet, but based on everyone's responses here, I'd say I made a nice little profit.

I made 15% on what I invested in 2015 (one trade). I put my full allotment (12,500) into PRGTX at the very beginning of the year and after the dividends reinvested I am showing right at 15% on the year. That's my new one that I just opened, and the only position I have in it. I just deposited the funds for this year this morning and I am tempted to put all of it into PRGTX again.

I have two other accounts and one was right at even for the year, and the other lost about 3%.

401K: + 0.10%
Roth IRA 0.00%

I'm kind of impressed that I got so close to 0.

Bit over -1%. I don't pay much attention to it though. I checked it last week when I got the notice to renew my contributions for 2016 and that was the first time I've logged in to look it since about june.

Roth IRA: -14.2% I switched to 100% buying energy fund and bought a couple large blocks that I shouldn't have - still buying through all of 2016, weekly. As far as disversification, I will switch to other sectors in coming years, and I have other investments already. Seems a little crazy/foolish at first glance, but I think it's smart long term.

401k Rollover to IRA: +15.8% Rolled over and have some buy and hold stocks/funds, but have also done a good bit of short term investing (trading) which was very profitable in the last few volatile months. My old investment options in the 401k were crap and the fees were exorbitant. I will look to DCA into the end of this year. PEs are growing and earnings falling. I don't expect much from this year.

HSA: +20.6% longer term trades, basically got lucky with a few.

Brokerage Account: +18.5% straight up trading.

Goal for 2016, set up either Solo 401k or SEP for our business.

401k: + 5.33 I work for a large healthcare company and have 15% in its stock which went crazy this year and saved me.

Unfortunately I decided to have a go @ day trading this year and lost a few thousand learning. That being said.....I learned.....it was just the hard way.
