They're independent contractors so they should be able to leave and come back if they want, if they still have status. Brooks and Rahm both have it for years to come due to "recent" major wins.

All PGA tour players have benefitted from LIV with the increased purses. They should move on and accept anyone that wants to return.

I think Rahm only left because he thought a merger was imminent and was capitalizing on a big payday. It seems that he otherwise regrets moving due to the lack of competitiveness and legacy.
Holes are limited by the single green complex so replicating real holes doesn’t necessarily work.

And I think many people think the opposite. I don’t want to watch them play normal holes. I want tight windows, stingers, big curving balls, etc. Watching pros hit off a flat lie into a simulator isn’t exciting if they’re playing normal holes.

Many people can get away with 8.5-9', but all it takes is that one friend coming over with a steep backswing or high follow through and there's a new divot in your ceiling. Lower ceilings can also subconsciously alter a swing. So the general recommendation is at least 10', but less can be fine.

Counter point to your 6'2" is I'm limited to ~9 iron in an 8' ceiling at 5'6".

If he wants to consider an overhead launch monitor, they typically need 9.5' or more.
Changing the timeslot and day each week it comes on doesn’t help with ratings.

At the moment it’s just filler content for ESPN.

You’ll have to define plenty of space and a rough idea on budget to get realistic recommendations. You can range from $250-$40k pretty easily depending on how wild you want to get. Ideally you have 10’ ceilings and at least a 14’ wide x 20’ long area if you’re looking to have others in the room for a social sized sim. You can get by with less, just depends on what the goals.

That’s just the taylormade experience. It happens to a relatively high number of their drivers every year. They know it and make the warranty pretty easy to redeem a new one.

Do you want lower launch, lower spin, and feel like you're swinging a 2x4 then black profiles might be for you.

Blue is generally mid launch and spin. You can feel some kick in it depending on your transition.

At 110-115 swing speed you're probably firmly into x stiffness unless you trim a stiff shaft.

re: Outdoor Speaker Setup

Posted by GoldenD on 11/25/25 at 10:35 pm to
Sonos amp is pretty easy to use. I run 4 speakers with it set to "mono" and use the L/R fader to swap between "zones". The amp is hooked up to the tv via HDMI eARC so sound goes through the speakers, or I can airplay music straight to the amp/speakers. An amp lets you pick whatever outdoor rated speakers you want, and the amp can be placed inside the house.
I played the North course about this time last year and the rough was already being grown up. It was easy to lose a ball two feet off the fairway. It’s a beautiful course though.
I guess I'm part of the demographic since I've been watching each episode within a day of release. The production on these videos is excellent.
Mind saying what city you're in? I wouldn't be shocked if someone here is a member at the club(s) you're looking at and can give real insight.

Otherwise, you've got the basics in the thread:

1) Equity vs Corporate Owned - Assessments and annual increases are the biggest differences
2) F&B minimums
3) Are they closed on a day that doesn't work with your schedule
4) How likely are you to use any of the other amenities
5) How long are the rounds - I've gotten used to 3-3.5 hr foursomes even with a lot of guys on the course
6) Are the practice facilities nice enough to justify driving vs using your net
7) Cart fee, walking fee, etc. adds up quickly
8) How early does tee sheet open and is it immediately filled with regulars, are there cancellation charges if you miss?

I can't comment on those questions, but I'm still on the mailing list after inquiring awhile back. Here's the updated initiations starting 11/1/25 both with a 4-5 month waiting list.

Initiation Fees:

Regular Membership: Currently $36,000 + tax ? Increasing to $48,000 + tax

Young Executive Membership: Currently $16,000 + tax ? Increasing to $24,000 + tax

Associate Membership: $2,500 – no change
Hard to blame Bradley for the lack of putts by the USA team and Europe seemingly making anything in the zip code.
What part of the coverage was lacking in your opinion? Seems like every shot was shown on USA or NBC. Some were “playing through”, but most were fine.
They don't get to choose who the pairings play against. He picks his four pairings and says who's going out 1,2,3,4 blindly against Donald doing the same.

That said, Collin and Harris had nothing going today and I'm surprised they're playing over JJ or Burns. JJ had the dead weight of Scottie most of the afternoon.
Any mat on a concrete or hard surface will likely lead to some discomfort in the wrist or elbows. The bottom is hard and the mat generally grabs a little bit.
$4/month is about lowest I’ve consistently seen it go when trying to do the whole cancel routine.
I joined out at Blackhawk as well a little over a year ago. Solid course and good practices facilities. I liked it more than Falcon or Willowfork when I was comparing Katy area options after playing at Cinco as the primary course. Seemed to be a nicer course not surrounded by housing, has a grass range, year round pool, etc.

If there was one knock, I'd say the social scene could improve. Since many of the members live 10-30 minutes away, it doesn't have the same hang out vibe as Sugar Creek, for example.

Different feel off the face mainly.

re: how do you work on tempo?

Posted by GoldenD on 6/9/25 at 11:51 am to
Easiest method will be the tour tempo app (or similar) or use a youtube video to find which tempo works for your swing.

I like to feel like I'm pausing at the top, but in reality, I'm not.

re: Sam Burns making a nice run

That 1st playoff hole miss is the one that will haunt him. Sam is a top 5 putter on tour and I would have bet he knocks that down every time.
